Yup. If we got rid of all those guns there wouldn’t be any suicides. Typical radical left wing extremist demokkkrat thinking/logic. Dolts.
So many anti-gun folks scream about hi-cap mags. I wonder if the is any data to confirm how many deaths occur with shots# 11 through 30, >1, 2 to 5, 5 to 10?Not that it matters, just curious.
36,909 total suicides in the US in 2009.
Getting rid of guns won’t even end suicide or notably lower the numbers.

Hello, that’s because we have guns. Sucks to be in a country that has outlawed guns and knives and to have to drink bleach or jump in front of a bus or to tie steaks to yourself and find a pack of wild dogs...
WOULD BANNING FIREARMS REDUCE MURDER AND SUICIDE?, Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy, Volume 30, Number 2, Spring 2007 (pp. 649-694)

And the CDC reports half of all food-borne illnesses in the USA result from improper washing or contamination of leafy, green vegetables. Spinach alone is 20%
And yet the FDA insists on regulating every farm, every food factory, every distributor within an inch of their lives.
The FED’s desire to control guns is 100X stronger.

I bet it is much higher taking from the “accidental” list.
Many times we used to her about someone who was killed while “cleaning a loaded pistol.”
Police reports would say...”He was cleaning his gun and it went off.”
Since insurance companies won’t pay for suicides it was believed this was to help the widow collect.
Then we often see in the obit page of “J-— D—, age 26, died at his home...”
Lots of young people die at home now days.
If I remember right, if you discount suicide by guns, car fatalities then outnumber gun deaths by double. Yet no calls for car banning, and they will even let kids as young as 16 drive. I’m 50 years old, grew up in New york city and recently moved out 2 months ago being that it is now a despotic state, and in all that time I’ve known two people who were shot: A friend of mine who was shot in the arm by a cop who mistook him for a car thief, and my uncle who was shot oddly enough in the arm again by a robber who was running from the cops. That’s it, 2 people. But when it comes to car/vehicle fatalities, I could fill up this page with all the people I knew who were killed including 2 relatives.
Worth noting in all such statistics that homicides are not necessarily murders.
person killing person = homicide
Killing a rapist in an act of self-defense is still a homicide.
Homicide + illegal intent = murder
I’ve know about a dozen people in my life who committed suicide.
half of them owned guns.
Not a single one used a gun to off themselves.
pills or carbon monoxide seemed to be the preferred way to go
AHah, proof we need a ban on all guns, except the gov and private Security forces for .....
If your gun is not taken away I could hurt myself...
Do it for Gabby, do it for the children.
I know of at least 6 who shut themselves in the garage with their car running.
Which to ban? Cars or garages?
I find that to be a truly amazing statistic.
I’m barely able to believe it.
One can always commit suicide by cop.
Just pull out a cell phone reals fast
She says...."For heavens sake John, can't you do anything right?"
Then there is this young man. No guns or nooses needed.
