Once again Sarah Palin is showing that she has no plans to play by the rules.
She has parted ways with FOX News after a turbulent relationship with the conservative cable news channel, taken pot shots at pundits in the 'lame stream media' and slammed her own party for selecting Mitt Romney as the 2012 Republican presidential nominee.
Now the former Alaska governor says she'll use the $1.2 million raised through her SarahPAC to 'shake up the GOP machine' and unveiled a vague vision on how she'll get her message out to a larger audience.
News broke on Friday night that she had not renewed her $1 million annual contract with FOX News, after three years as a contributor on Roger Ailes' network.
Palin then spoke out on Saturday, in an interview with Breitbart.com, saying that she was working to 'free up opportunities to share more broadly the message of the beauty of freedom and the imperative of defending our republic and restoring this most exceptional nation.'
Calling the future 'wide open' with opportunities, she shared how she plans 'to pick battles wisely, and all in due season' - hinting that she still has a fight left in her.
Her vision for the future coincided with the financial disclosure from her Political Action Committee, SarahPAC, with records released on Monday showing she ended 2012 with nearly $1.2 million in the bank.
She raised around $20,790 between Nov. 27 and Dec. 31 and spent $67,800 during that time period on expenses including consulting, speech writing and legal fees...

One of my favorites.
In a perfect world.....
Well, he thought I was a guy and he thought you were a girl, so what does that say about his spidey senses? Pffft.
But regarding this article I was much pleased to see that she is finally jettisoning the Fox quasi-conservative News network. FoxNEWS IMHO has finally evolved into nothing more that Mainstream Media Lite.
I could Not Agree More Ron!
For giving all you can, would you Honor us and grace Sarah's Ping List?
We need MEN like you!
It is easy to ascribe less than noble motives to someone. Who can ever prove an opinion wrong?
It is far more difficult to suggest the activity that one would find acceptable as a pathway to greatness as a political leader. Of course, they need money, so it is always possible to say that they are only in it for the money.
Alas, I never see that kind of suggestion from anyone who spends all their energy tearing down others without offering positive suggestions for improvement.
None of us are perfect, and it is so easy to point that out, because one need not be perfect to do so.
The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if the establishment wouldn’t keep conservatives going around in circles by presenting a “conservative” who claims to want to change the Republican Party from within.
How many times has change from within been proposed? Okay, now how many times has it actually happened?
Face it: you’re not going to change the one party system. Our only hope is to break it with a new party.
Others here are Grima Wormtouges...
As For me I will let Sarah speak for me:
I remember when that song came out!
I bet you do, too!
Goldwater was a sucker for any military boondoggle that came along, especially any kind of aircraft, and we had some real dogs that got funded.
Salinger was a big Dem, but he wasn’t a liberal. He was for hard money, like Kennedy, and that was his downfall with the establishment. He knew where all the skeletons were too.
Well we may (or may not) end up being able to change the GOP.
May not even turn out to want to.
It all depends.
But now is the time to seriously, start thinking about it.
You can’t do much with only a million; maybe a few minutes on TV.
So Todd was only occasionally producer and cameraman?
Who was it otherwise, Piper?
You're right and she was always good Catholic girl.
God bless her.
I always loved her singing of Oh, My Papa
Hi Randy!
Delighted to have you join Sarah’s List!!!
You haven't heard Sarah utter John McCain's name since the 2010 midterm elections when she gave him her endorsement.
That endorsement cost her dearly among some conservatives, but what was she to do? Refuse to endorse him, in fealty to the more purist amongst us? Had she done that, she would have (rightfully) been cast as an ungrateful wretch for the rest of her days.
She paid him back for launching her onto the national stage, and now doesn't owe him the time of day.
Unless she runs for a high profile position, which... she won't.
This is the best news I’ve read in a long time.
The only good news, actually.
Maybe I won’t get ulcers after all.
Man, I’m with you on that one.
Sorry we have sexists on this thread looking to disparage Sarah by attacking us.
Oh yeah. I was bopping at the Jr High sock hops at the time (’57).
Agreed.
