Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi declared a 30-day state of emergency, Sunday night, in the cities of Port Said, Suez and Ismailiya, in response to violent anti-government demonstrations around the country. The state of emergency includes a curfew...
Morsi said, "The attacks we have been seeing for the last few days are unacceptable actions against Egypt and the revolution, and I will fight the attackers with utmost power and determination."

Menachem Begin writes in Revolt! that the difference between a tyranny and a free country is that a tyrant believes he and his country are one and the same. So to speak ill of or defy the Leader is an act of treason against the nation. In a free country, however, the government is merely a servant of the people of the country, and different regimes of government peaceably exchange power and are interchangeable.
So if Morsi is calling these anti-government demonstrations "actions against Egypt and the revolution," it's no wonder they are become violent. No peaceful transition of power to a new government is possible. He is the state. He is the revolution. Anyone opposing him opposes Egypt.

So the government that Obastard supported isn’t so popular with the people.

This is the Muslim Brotherhood dictator engineered by Obama in action. I wonder if some if the US military support will be used against the Egyptian people?

Good for Egyptians who will not stand for islamo-tyranny...burn the country down and force the members of the military to take a side.

Morsi came to power due to demonstrations. Now he doesn’t like them any more. :-)

Egypt has negligible amounts of oil. It needs tourism, and it needs Western companies being comfortable about coming in and doing business, neither of which is going to happen under Morsi.
The common people know they have to get rid of Morsi or they will starve. If it means killing off the Islamists, then so much the better.

It would be a major hoot if the disaffected Muslims all converted to Coptic Christianity and started refusing to speak Arabic. Unlikely. Too much stupid juice in the drinking water. But I can dream.

Is the media covering the failure of Obama’s ME policy? So far he’s made things worse than Jimmy Carter did. Our grandchildren’s grandchildren will be paying for his State Department’s disaster machine.

Oh, no! A counter revolution?
The Arab Spring is nothing but a fraud on the Egyptian people? Who'd have thought it? Certainly not Obongo’s MSM acolytes.
