I friend of mine currently lives in a guarded gated community in Orange County, CA but that didn't prevent him from being carjacked at gunpoint six weeks ago in his own driveway.

He's been in CA for less than a year and this is the second time he's been the victim of a violent crime in which the criminal was armed with an "illegal" handgun and my friend was unable to defend himself because of stupid liberal laws. The first time he was robbed at gunpoint in his company's "restricted access" parking garage.

Fortunately his contract out there expires in a few months and he will be coming back to the Bluegrass where he belongs.

Unfortunately the Stolen Valor Act was ruled unconstitutional, IIRC. But since this liberal putz claims to be a veteran, he should be called out on it & told to put up or shut up. Or....has he drawn any VA benefits through his claims of prior service?

The debate over gun control is not about protecting the innocent from guns or indeed any type of weapon it is about the power and control that the government wishes to have over its citizenry.

government officials at any level are not afraid of the criminals with the guns they are afraid of an armed citizen willing to die for their freedom because in the end most of them are cowards

we have a problem with the seriously mentally disturbed in this country. There is no support for families who live with these individuals and indeed they risk their own lives caring for them. They deserve the help and support of their communities and yes there needs to be non-voluntary committal for those who pose great risk to society.
