Had the residents of Montana voted to accept same-sex marriage, Gods law will trump it. God spoke thousands of years ago in Genesis, Chapter 19, regarding sexual sins. The apostle Paul also wrote in Romans, Chapter 1, regarding man suppressing the truth and exchanging the truth for a lie, which resulted in men and women performing in unnatural functions. These laws were given to us by God for our own protection. Gods word is holy and sovereign.
Any laws passed that are in direct contradiction to Gods word become mans law. As a believer and follower of my Lord and Christ, I will be a law-abiding citizen to mans law, unless that law attempts to supersede His word.
Gods word at times is harsh and painful and full of dos and donts. If we didnt have Gods rules and laws, we would no longer exist as a society.

I don’t know....not exactly the Apostle Paul in Athens from where I sit. I agree with the author’s point of view, just not sure it rises to “GREAT” letter to editor status. Don’t think it will change a single mind.
Liberal: "But you can't legislate moraaaaality. Anyone's morality."
And then Joe Bidumb goes and says that gun control is a moral issue.
And we lost this nation when the Ten Commandments were removed from the town square. God’s Laws front and center reminded us as a society that there is a higher power than man’s self. Without this guidance, society turned to man’s laws or whims. because there is no moral code for foundation, we are corrupt.
God gave us free will.
But I can imagine the total destruction of the Bible as a guide when the Judeo Christian belief will be forced to accept vice as virtue. Religion will be outlawed.
Too late, society is “killing” God again as we speak. “What after all are these churches now if they are not the tombs and sepulchers of God?” (Just check out the US National Cathedral)
Good article and good comments. Just remember to keep the issue where it belongs - in the states. The U.S. Constitution does not allow marriage to be a federal issue.
You support polygamy and same sex marriage, Utah will love that, so will the Muslims.
You may not like it and I may not like it, but as far as I know, and until Jesus Christ comes back to rule as the Prince of Peace, our free republic, which gives the people of their state their own choices, is the best thing going on the planet. Once you decide that your values trump the freedom of others, regardless of the Constitution, you're doing what the socialists have done, abandoning the rule of law for tyranny. And tyranny will end up destroying all of what you and I hold dear.
So the answer here lies not in politics but elsewhere, in a nation-wide spiritual awaking.

Except for Islam, the religion that our government will embrace because O was mislead as a child and programmed to become a Manchurian Candidate by FMD.
You like it or you wouldn’t be promoting it.
The Ted Kennedy (I’m personally opposed...but) nonsense doesn’t work.
Spot On!
I was thinking about a possible rebuttal to those who want to redefine marriage...I submit for consideration...
Mother Evolution has determined, through the superior wisdom of experience gained through millions of years of trial and error that it’s male and female that works and that MUST be maintained or pftttttt.... to the compost heap you go as a species. It’s time to grow up and get over it - male and female is required to survive. Marriage is the protective union between a male and a female. Other forms of union may continue the experiment, but, you know the definition of insanity ... and, intellectual honesty would REQUIRE you call it something else.
It seems to me that Evolution-ism provides one of the rebukes to such idiocy.
I am one of YHWH’s followers and I know He KNOWS this stuff. Designer, and all. Just sayin’.
My first post. I appreciate you all here, even those I disagree with. You help me think.
What works is a Constitutional Republic. What doesn't work is creating tyranny (scrapping the rule of law) so everyone is coerced to do what YOU think is right (the rule of man).
Ted Kennedy and the Socialists have never and will never believe in freedom. I'd say in this argument, you're a lot closer to them than I am.
The Ted Kennedy (Im personally opposed...but) nonsense doesnt work.
You support homosexual marriage, and so did Ted Kennedy and so do the socialists, that is a match.
Go back to your elementary school playground. I want to have a substantive discussion with grownups here.
Just like Ted Kennedy, at the end of your tales and personal protestations, is your pro-homosexual marriage efforts.
