Surely without intending to do so, liberal radio host Bill Press has providing a compelling argument against renewal of the Violence Against Women Act.
On his radio show this morning, the easily piqued Press sniffed in disdain at the sheer effrontery of Republican senators asking pointed questions of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi. (audio clip after page break)
Here's what the indignant Press had to say
"I have to tell you, man, watching the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee yesterday and she appeared in front of the House committee in the afternoon, I was reminded of several things. Number one, the Republican war on women continues, it ain't over, man! They were in the middle of it yesterday. Number two, it's a good thing that the Violence Against Women Act hasn't been renewed. Otherwise there would have been some of those, a whole handful of thugs in the Republican, Republican thugs in the Senate and in the House led by Rand Paul and John McCain who would have been arrested for assaulting Secretary of State Hillary Clinton."
Press deserves credit, however, for pointing out this heretofore unnoticed and problematic provision in the Violence Against Women Act -- violence, as proponents of the law see it, occurs when anyone expresses an opinion that liberals don't like.
Wanting to know the truth is now considered an assault?
Bill Press is actually covered under the Violence Against Women Act.
Funny I thought it was the 4 people who died that were assaulted.
She avoided answering some of the questions, They should bring her back again and again until sh answers these questions under oath.
She is responsible for what happened and responsible to the American people to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Par for the course with Hillary!
Every time she is aggressively (appropriately so) questioned or challenged by a (Republican) man, she and her sycophants play the domestic-abuse victim card.
Remember that first Senate debate against Lazio. He crossed the stage to hand her a piece of paper and the press and her campaign (ok, being redundant there ...) acted like he’d stormed across the stage and pimp-slapped her.
Funny I thought it was the 4 people who died that were assaulted.
Now I remember why Bill Press’ show was cancelled by KFI in Los Angeles.
Well said. ;-)
To #4:
Re: Bill Press is actually covered under the Violence Against Women Act.
Keep Pressing that point. Maybe he’ll get his crinolins in a bunch.
If you look up the words “wimp”, “whinner” and “loser” in the dictionary, you’ll find a picture of Bill Press there.
A Trifecta of crap. In that, he is a winner!
Bill, you BIGOT!
How dare you suggest that Hillary be treated any different because she’s a woman!
What difference...?
The difference, Madam Secretary, is that unlike the White House, here in the Senate, the TRUTH is important.
Long after the TRUTH was known by the White House, this LIE about the video, continued to be publicly trumpeted as the basis for the attack that left 4 Americans DEAD.
So, we want to know the following:
WHO directed that the LIE continue AFTER the TRUTH was known?
What was the point of peddling that lie, 2 weeks after the TRUTH was known?
At a minimum YOU and the President KNEW it was a lie, and yet you BOTH continued to repeat it. So, WHY should anyone believe either of you from this point forward?
THAT Madame Secretary, is THE DIFFERENCE IT MAKES!!
If Hillary can’t stand the heat, perhaps she should get out of the kitchen.
Trying to hold them accountable is an offense against the state.
#13: Wrong question; should be
Bill Press, how dare you treat Hillary like she is a woman?
The title alone made me shudder and throw up in my mouth a little.
This guy I know in the Secret Service used to be on the Hillary security detail... I am sure if an assault were imminent there woulda been a takedown, which I have seen...
If asking a few softball questions to Hillary now counts as “assault”, how do you describe the way Big Leftist Media treated Sarah Palin for years?
Gang rape and lynching??
Lawful congressional oversight is now considered assault.
Whatever happened to “Dissent is patriotic”?
