“My Saiga is on there. Too bad I lost it in an unfortunate boating accident!”
I lost my 2 when I tripped and fell very close to the edge of a mountain while hunting, both fell out of my hands and over the cliff they went. So glad I didn”t go with them...whew...
I think guys are getting their hopes up because it only lists the “tactical” version of the Mini-14, not the Plain Jane and Ranch variants.
Isn’t there some provision in the bill that the grandfather is for the original owner only .... you can’t sell the gun and if you die, the gun can’t be inherited and has to be surrendered/turned in? Thought I saw that somewhere when Fineswine’s bill was being discussed or maybe it was on a Leftist wish list.
Thanks!
The way I understand it is when you purchase a firearm, the dealer simply calls the instant back round system to see if you're on a prohibited list, if you are, you are denied purchase.
There is no recording of who was checked or what is being purchased, it's just a yea or nay type thing.
That's the way I understand it, if I am wrong, I'm sure some one will correct me.
You bet, Nully. Just happened to have a bit of time on my hands today, and thought I'd help out.
So we know Foonsteen doesn’t like “black “guns. She’s starting a new industry already. Between painting guns white and re-naming the rest I expect to see a blizzard of new models shortly-—The “feinstein Magnum” , “the Bullshizz Repeater”, “the Frisco Pillow gun” ( I owned one once) , “the Bay Blaster”, or “the Gay Blaster”, The “idiot eliminator”————I gotta quit before I hurt myself. The rest of the makers will pick up the slack.
If you purchase a firearm in a store, you will have to fill out a BATFE form 4473. That is used for the store to call in a background check. The form is supposed to be kept at the store.

Let me guess — the fine print empowers the Attorney General to add guns to the list at his/her whim (but never to remove any).
Plouffe claimed they have the votes to pass this trash. Who exactly?
No problem.
They passed Obamacare and are still in office.
What do you think they’re going to do with this weapons ban? :(
To my knowledge, that is not done.....but who really knows.
BTW, aren't they supposed to destroy those forms after six months?
How about the Nanny State Muzzler

This is all true however, the ATF can inspect those records at ANY time and there are reports that they have been making copies and taking them with them when they leave. Also the FFL seller has to retain those records for ever. So there is a trail and or record when you purchase a firearm thru a FFL dealer now.
Not a single one I haven’t lost or sold to some guy is on the list!
“Maybe she has stock in SKS, or they sent her a check.”
If they’re made in China I would hardly doubt that is the case. Looks like she is trying to put Thompson out of business (eliminate the competition?) FOLLOW THE MONEY.
Walk in to a Cabela's store, or Gander Mountain, Wal*Mart, or any of several other places with a big wad of cash. Go to the firearms section, pick up a boxed muzzle-loader, a can of pyrodex, a box of bullets, and a box of caps. You may have to get some of that from behind a counter, but it matters little. Pay for the lot with your big wad of cash.
Viola! You have a muzzleloader, with ammunition, and NO paper trail.
Too bad I don’t have the $ to complete the shopping list the good senator has provided for us
Good luck on that.
You had to look hard at the Russkis ... some had spent their time behind the Iron Curtain in an armory, covered with cosmolene. The Chicoms were new manufacture, and as you say all over the place in quality. They had several factories going, and not all of them knew what they were doing.
