Russia sees America’s error, may ban public homosexuality

An evangelist who visits Russia frequently believes the move afoot there to ban the public display of homosexuality is because the nation's leaders -- both political and religious -- have seen the damage American culture has suffered from the homosexual movement.

Russia is preparing to debate and act on legislation barring homosexuality from the public arena, including homosexual "pride" parades. The country is moving to ban same-sex "marriage" and even public acts of affection between homosexuals.

The Associated Press reports that the bill, which comes up for a vote later this month in the Russian parliament, is "part of an effort to promote traditional Russian values as opposed to Western liberalism, which the Kremlin and the Russian Orthodox Church see as corrupting Russian youth ...."

As an evangelist who works in Russia,Tim Todd tells OneNewsNow that is quite a contrast to America, which has the most pro-homosexual president in the country's history. Todd, who heads Revival Fires International and has worked in Russia, understands that country's stand against the homosexual agenda.

"America is opening the floodgate -- and if you want to know what God thinks about the sin of homosexuality, you can look at his urban renewal development plan in Sodom and Gomorrah," he points out. "It gives you a pretty good idea."

Todd says Russia has had an opportunity for years now to observe the homosexual agenda in America and Europe and learn firsthand what it has done to the culture.

"[In America] there is open, blatant homosexuality on television and on the Internet where the homosexuals have come out of their hideouts in publicly proclaiming their sinful activity," he observes.

Todd adds that he believes Russia has known all along the detriment homosexuality has on society -- and now they have proof in the United States.

Who would've thought 50 years ago that our nation would be turning into what Russia was and Russia would be turning into what the United States once was?

May the surge of interest in Christianity in Russia continue and flourish.

More than 50 years ago, Edgar Cayce said that Russia would become a place of religious revival.

The evangelist is putting the horse behind the cart. Many in the Russian leadership were instrumental in fomenting immorality in the west precisely because they know full well how it undermines social cohesion.

I certainly never thought I would see the day. What are Russia’s laws on firearms, abortion, and immigration like?

wasn't there an statement by a Saint....maybe at Lourdes, I don't remember....that the end of the world will only come when Russia is converted?.....

trying to make homosexuality mainstream is giving permission for all kinds of new "wants" or "needs" such as pedophilia....pornagraphy...soon we'll have multiple partner marriages and sex with animals....

Makes me wonder just how many copies of the infamous Beatles tunes are being sold, “Back to the USSR”?

Immigration is easy, but well regulated I think (not sure). Gun laws are restrictive, but much better than most other European nations,

According to Russia’s gun laws, Russian citizens can buy smoothbore shotguns, such as, for example Saiga 12, gas pistols, or revolvers shooting rubber bullets. Safe use of one of the above weapons for five years allows purchase of a rifle or carbine.[89]

In Moscow alone, some 400,000 people legally keep 470,000 weapons.[89]

Abortion is legal under all circumstances. Russia had the highest number of abortions per woman of child-bearing age in the world according to UN data of 2004

So, Russia actually sucks for conservatives, but in a few years, things might change. Definitely encouraging to see them putting homosexuality back in the closet. Maybe some other nations will follow. I know Uganda passed some laws on it recently.

I betcha the fact that we allow homosexuals to adopt children is the REAL reason Russia stopped sending kids here.

Does NASA allow such for our astronauts?

I wondered that myself. Along those lines, maybe Putin didn’t trust the discernment abilities of people who would elect Obama not only once but twice.

It’s near impossible to explain the concept of divine judgement to Americans who make up their morals according to self gratification. None the less, God will have the last word on the subject, and we aren’t going to enjoy it.

I think what you are referring to is the Virgin Mary when she appeared somewhere perhaps in Portugal but I remember reading Revelations and when the Judgment comes to pass someone is going to ask Jesus Christ why did you end it meaning the world and his answer will be “because everyone was getting married” what did he mean by that I can only guess and I would surmise that this gay marriage issue comes to pass and things start sliding down hill quickly.
