The Republican Party seeks to learn from its mistakes—and it wants your help

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—The Republican Party is looking for advice.

To kick off this week's Republican National Committee's winter strategy session, which will focus in part on how to broaden the party's appeal to women and minority voters, the RNC on Thursday launched a website soliciting ideas and constructive criticism about what the party did wrong in 2012—and what it can do better over the next four years.

The site, which is part of its "Growth and Opportunity Project" created to analyze the last election, includes a wide-ranging survey seeking input on things such as whether Republicans should spend more or less time talking about the economy, national security, social issues or taxes. "Do you think the Republican Party shares your values?" it continues, after asking about demographics like race, age and gender. "Do you think the Republican Party listens to voters like you?"

The survey also asks about five areas where it needs improvement: "Diversity within the Party," "The Party's position on issues," "How the Party communicates with voters," "The process of selecting the best candidate" and "The Party's infrastructure and tactics used in campaigns."

Although Republicans dominated the 2010 midterm elections with gains in the House and Senate, Democrats retained control of the White House and Senate, and bolstered their minority in the House just two years later. President Barack Obama won 332 Electoral College votes and, perhaps more alarming for the GOP, enjoyed support from more than 70 percent of Hispanic and more than 95 percent of black voters.

Now, Republicans are keen to learn how to conduct better outreach to minorities and regain a foothold among a new pool of voters.

The constitution. Libs have pronounced it dead - loudly and it is not dead. It is the law of the land. They have named americans who support the constitution as terorrists. They have turned the war on Islamic terror against our own people. Homeland insecurity is out of control. Listen to Rand Paul. Ask Newt for verbage.

Obama thinks he is a freaking king and does not have to respect elected representatives in the process of governing. We are not a one party system. Make him out to be an unreasonable and irresponsible radical who can’t make a deal or even present a budget. We need to bring the budget into reasonable boundries. It’s out of control. Talk about the deficit.

Obama has to respect the constitution’s division of power and states’ and people’s constitutional responsibilties. He thinks he is a dictator and he’s not. He violated the law controling welfare qualification. He’s not protecting the borders in accordance with the law. He’s dividing race against race and class against class and he’s making work between the two parties impossible. Ask Newt how to go after him and his lying propaganda media.

Republicans can’t seem to get a coherent message out of the elephant’s mouth. That is because they don’t know what they stand for. Give him stuff about funding terrorists - the muslim brotherhood and arming the Lybian rebels who turned around and killed our ambassador. Stop pretending the Muslim brotherhood is moderate. They hate the US and Israel.

Don’t raise taxes for golobal warming. Obama has made gas prices triple. Critize him for ignoring unemployment and hurting small business. Get a freaking brain with a bunch of mouths attached to it.

Support the Constitution, support traditional families, Let us celebrate our history and ancestors, stand up against tyranny & Marxism. Close the damn border now and take immediate steps to remove those who don’t belong here. In addition penalize any who seek to undermine border and immigration control. Affirmative action, race preferences and all other race based government programs & lobbying groups need to go. Focus on strengthening our manufacturing base and get our spending under control. Dismantle about 1/3 - 1/2 of the federal government. Bring all of our boys home and keep us out of all unnecessary international BS.

They couldn’t care less what we think! If they had their way we would be put in re-education camps until we learned to respect our superiors.

They don't give a rat's ass about your opinion...notice how you have to 'sign up' for fundraising spam BEFORE you can register your opinion.

...and they don't even offer a free condom first...

When people asked me when my state was having our primaries, I responded “The second Tuesday after the election.”

Similar with me. Many would ask who I was for, since I was critical of their candidate. [At least, I wasn't biased. I bashed every GOP wannabe.] I would repond that it didn't really matter, because the race would be decided long before my state had its primary [May 22, 2012].

Santorum suspended his campaign April 19. That basically handed the nomination to Romney. State primaries after that time were only procedural.

16. Go through every agency and start stripping regulations off the backs of American citizens trying to live their lives. If in doubt, remove it.
