Photographs of a French soldier apparently mimicking a character from the popular and violent video game Call of Duty are causing a stir around the world.
In the photos, the unidentified soldier can be seen wearing a skeleton mask and a bandana, making him look eerily similar to the popular character Ghost from Call of Duty.

Oh my goodness. The soldiers frightened those poor terrorists before they blew them to hell.
Kewl!
Colonel Kilgore approves. Scares the shit outta the muzzies. Abul don’t surf.
I am not and will not be joining into the cult of death; death worship. Our soldiers, our military cannot be about death, it is about protecting life.
I see death worshipped through-out USA and it is part of what is wrong. Skull and bones, no fear...
When USA military has enough death worshipping in place, they will be ready to kill US patriots; you may mark my words. USA was founded on a spirit of life, not death. We are commanded to love God with all of our heart, mind and stregth. Love so strong that we _fear_ doing anything outside of his will.
um, no.
Our military is about killing people, breaking their stuff, and denying them territory.
They do that in order to end conflict in their AO (area of operation).
Our military is **NOT** about ‘protecting’. They may have a MISSION to do that, but they accomplish their missions by closing with and KILLING the enemy and breaking their stuff.
Happy to also engage you theologically on this topic as well. God is a loving AND just God. He is not just about love. We are instruments of His will - when that will is about love, and when it is about justice.
God Himself has destroyed people - i.e., killed them. HE has also commanded His people and/or empowered His people to win military victories ... which were notably deadly and destructive.
Can’t go there with you. You are of course welcome to your opinion. FReerepublic is like that.
So, the objection isn’t that Activision’s copyright is being violated, but that a French soldier is trying to terrify his enemies?
Considering the French soldiers are out to kill all the insurgents who choose to oppose them then I'd say the mask is very representative of the actions of France in Mali.
Writing in the style of an Iranian? Good one. LOL
LOL! SRSLY?
Soldiers have been doing things like this to make themselves appear fearsome since the days when they fought with heavy sticks.
Anybody know what weapon the soldier is holding?
What a great idea! Kudos to the unknown soldier.
Bitchin!
I would lovingly place .308 rounds through muzzie heads to savage their ranks, be a part of the solution with all that is wrong with Allah worshipers and spare any more American lives.
Pretty damn sweet looking!
Hey, whoa, whoa, WHOA here! There are international laws about unnecessary cruelty, y'know.
