Mine is in .22 LR, but also feeds .22 Short from the mag. It was my father-in-law's. He had it stored in his closet for years, and it had been his trusty squirrel rifle. It was bruised and battered and he gave it to me because he knew I'd fix it up and make it into something. And I did:
Like you said...accuracy that compares to much more expensive guns. Fun to shoot with .22 Shorts...quieter than my Gamo .177 pellet rifle.
I gave my 12 year old daughter one for Christmas 2011.
PCP's are cool and definitelty more accurate than springers but more costly too. The PCP that really gets my attention is the FX Revolution that this guy reviews......really sweet!
Also, check out this website for some really cool air rifles..........It's a literal toy store..
How about an affordable scout rifle?
Quality guns aren't cheap. The thread is "If you only own 1 gun..." after all. Gonna stake your life on a cheap .22? or on something designed for the task by the guru of the subject and built by a major Austrian manufacturer?
That Benjamen Nitro is pretty slick and in my price range. The one’s in those vid’s are awesome but way out of my pocket book.
