In her first testimony since the Benghazi attack, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will participate in a full day of hearings Wednesday about U.S. diplomatic security and the American mission in Libya.
Sec. Clinton will appear before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in the morning followed by an afternoon testimony to the House Foreign Affairs Committee. In December, the State Department's highest ranking foreign service officers, William Burns and Thomas Nides, testified before Congressional lawmakers in the Secretary's place. They discussed a new report by an independent panel assessing the Benghazi attack.
Deputy Sec. Nides put several recommendations from a report on the attack into effect before the end of 2012. Implementing the rest, Nides said, will be underway by the time the next Secretary of State takes office. Three State Department officials have resigned since the report was released.
The two officials were substituting for Secretary Clinton, who was recovering from a concussion she suffered after fainting due to dehydration from a stomach virus.
Four Americans were killed in that attack, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens. Congress is investigating whether the State Department denied a request for extra security at that outpost earlier in the year and what actions were taken in the moments after the attack began.
She quickly tries to shift the blame to Congress.

Hillary asked if the annex was involved on the transfer of weapons to Syria!
Hillary says she has no knowledge of that.
Rand Paul is the only one taking this hearing seriously.

Rand Paul up. Asking about the fired people. Hillary has her ignoring the question smile on while listening to Paul’s question. Paul do not let her filibuster! She does not know anything about weapons being shipped to Turkey - LIE!
Paul’s questioning is outstanding in this dog and pony show.
Rand Paul is laying out the $ we’ve spent on comedians, etc.... He’s really laying her out. Calls it a failure of leadership not to know that Benghazi was a hot spot. Now he’s asking if we are shipping weapons from Lybia to Turkey. She’s getting read in the face and isn’t wanting to answer. Says doesn’t know and hasn’t heard that information. He points out that there have been news reports. She is falling back on state dept. emps that were chastised for failure. Rand says never should have sent people in without military guard. Says someone needs to make an “executive decision” to send military to hazardous places. Hillary stating that she IS the SOS, and the state department has been as transparent as they can and that the accountability review board was put together to take it out of the arena of politics. She claims to have called for transparency. Then she wrote Rand Paul’s name on her “hate list.” Whew..... She looks relieved to be moving on to Senator Murphy (D).
She didn't want to touch that one with a 10 foot pole! "you'll have to ask the agency (CIA) in charge of that outpost!"

Rand Paul is a real .american. .the rest obviously have a file on them held by the Dems, and they know it. what a waste of time.
He could have been good if he just asked one question at a time and got some kind of answer. ONE QUESTION AT A TIME!
