True story happened yesterday:

So, I buy this Ruger 22 LR rifle from Kentucky Gun Co. over the web and I’ve been locking for one of these for two weeks, searching every gun company on the web every day. I finally found one in stock and bought it. Well, yeah, it happens to be PINK, but it’s still considered by Hussein as an “assault” rifle ‘cause it is a semiautomatic, pull the trigger and a cartridge fires - and yes, I had already bought a 25 cartridge magazine for it and have Remington 22 LR hollow point ammo coming (found some of that). So, it isn’t black but does the same thing and it’s a lovely PINK.

I had to have it sent to a gun shop so I could do the paperwork for it. I needed to go there now to do another form so they would know it is mine when it gets there and they will call me.

I hadn’t been to this gun shop before but it’s only six miles from me. I go down that wide road looking for the place thinking it’s a small shop somewhere on this road. I thought I should have found it by now, and saw a liquor store and knew that place would know where the shop was.

I go in and liquor store guy is telling me but a customer broke in and finished the directions. I looked at this fellow and knew Hussein would never get this man’s guns. This part of the highway is Texas red neck country. This fellow had scraggly hair, worn out shirt and worn out blue jeans and was missing two front teeth. No way would anyone EVER take a gun from him. He was great, God Bless Texas.

He was a typical red neck, very courteous to me (they treat women special) and explained I was one mile away from the gun shop. He said I couldn’t miss it, was on this side of the road. I thank him and am on my way. There it is, except it isn’t a small gun shop – it’s the big shooting range I knew was on this road somewhere. It’s huge with all things gun inside and men bellied up to the counter waiting for service. I just bellied up to the counter like I was one of them (heck, I was one of them mentally, so there).

There was not one rifle for sale. There was not one magazine holding more than 10 cartridges for sale. There was no hollow point ammo. Finally, my turn came and I filled out the form. The male clerk was very nice and said I had all the info. on the form and he would call me. I told him not to be surprised to see a PINK rifle. He said, “That’s great!”

Then, I left. I can say we have great red necks here who are not going to give up their guns, and a fine shooting range – all 6 miles from my house.

One of these days, Jim, you are going to show up in this great state to live. Attorney General Greg Abbott just said he will have any federal government official coming to Texas to get someone’s gun, arrested when he sets foot in Texas. Plus, we have a bill in the House to put those feds in prison for 5 years. My PINK assault rifle with its big magazine is safe. God Bless Texas.

Add Missouri to the List of states whose legislature is trying to stand up to the DC tyranny. We also have legislation to arrest Feds and charge them with a felony with 5 year stent in jail. Course our Governor is sure to veto, and then we will have to pass it again.

You don't say where in Texas you are. But wherever, you need to come to the Texas Cowboy Memorial shoot in June. It's near Lockhart this year. That's a bit south of Austin, near San Marcos.

We'd love to see your pink rifle.

My last CHL instructor, who lives in Leander, NW of Austin, has a purple AR-15, a purple Glock, and a Purple shotgun. Her husband did that for her.

She shoots in 3 gun matches, beating most or all of the men. Here's the thread on the shoot.

Jim R was at last years shoot, but I missed that one due to it's location and not having any vacation time. Only the second of 7 that I missed. The other was due to having knee replacement surgery. :)

Sounds like you may have run into humblegunner (he's not really been suspended, it's just his warped sense of humor, he made the page that way himself.

BTW, Texas Cowboy was a Korean War era Marine, FReeper extraordinaire, and one heck of a nice guy. We do what he liked to do, we shoot, we talk, and we eat. And do other fun stuff too.

BTW, I have one of those Rugers too, but it's Black, so it's extra evil. It was originally, well, wood colored, but I bought it a nice black stock that came off one used to build up a match tack driver type rifle. Got it cheap.. at an Evil Gun Show... Dallas Arms Collectors, I think. The rifle itself was my first non shotgun firearm. I bought it at a Sporting Goods Store in a Mall(Valley View in Dallas) no less. How times have changed. Now you'd cause a panic walking around a mall with a rifle. :)

To: Marcella; humblegunner

40 mi. north of Houston, you really could have run into humblegunner, he’s from Humble, but lives a bit east of there now, IIRC.
