President Barack Obama’s remaining campaign apparatus will relaunch Sunday as a tax-exempt group to support his second term agenda, a senior Democrat familiar with the plans confirms to POLITICO.
The new organization will be separate from the Democratic National Committee, with Obama’s 2012 campaign manager Jim Messina serving as the national chair of the group.
The effort will begin on Sunday, the day the president is formally sworn in to his second term, as Obama campaign staff and volunteers gather at the Washington Hilton for an event dubbed the Obama Legacy Conference.
The formation of the group will make Messina the de facto political director for Obama, and is an implicit rejection of DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, an Obama outsider not close to the president, as the party’s operational leader.

IMHO, this is a dangerous thing they are doing. Way too much chance for financial skullduggery. Especially since this will be a non-profit. I’m assuming a 501(c)4.

Not that it matters to Obama, but I thought after the election the campaign was supposed to break up, and is it legal to transfer funds already taken as campaign donations to a non-profit?

Their plan is becoming more clear. In the next couple months they are going to do a massive propaganda blitz that will be Hitleresque in nature. Smear, demonize, and try to make gun owners, NRA, Congresscritters that are pro 2nd amendment out to be monsters.
If the Congress does not go along with Obama, he will move to the EO route and we know that will lead to confiscation.
Obviously this is the reason that he had the federal agencies he has named to enforce registration, deputized. Those same agencies were the ones buying all that ammo over the past months.
He WILL confiscate guns. He would rather force Congress to sign a bill, but he is prepared to act without them.
Now all that makes it clear Sandy Hook was not as it is being told.
In other news, there is no confirmation whether Jim “Martin Bormann” Messina will be called Party Secretary or not. Obama, of course, has “Fuhrer” locked up.

Sounds to me like he’s setting up his own, cult-of-personality based political party. He obviously feels he’s too big for the Dems; it’s hard to imagine that he believes they’re a restraining influence on him, but he does seem to be convinced that some of them stand in his way.
It is true that people actually didn’t vote for the Dems in the last election, but for Obama, so he’s decided to skip the middle man and throw off any pretense of being just a normal part of our political system.
I fail to see how this can be a qualifying non-profit, but since he controls the IRS, I guess he can do whatever he wants.

The plan, IMHO, is very clear. This is the Agenda-21 president.
Agenda-21, the stealthy movement to take away property rights from individuals and "give" it to the collective. It's happening all over at the local level; this president is now tying in some ends at a higher level.
I think this group should be able to take foreign funds from some interesting places.

All paying tribute to the new regime. The goal is to move fast and overwhelm the system. And the useful idiots will cheer it along all the way. The Republicans are so unprepared for this they will fold like a cheap suit. The socialist sense the Republicans are in disarray and weak. This is their best shot for a permant takeover of government.

I also agree with you on the speed factor. He’s moving very quickly and very openly, and paradoxically, this is one of the things that makes it so hard for people to take it seriously and get as alarmed as they should be. We thought we’d have more time to prepare our defense, so to speak, but all of a sudden it’s upon us.
