WASHINGTON, D.C. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, who oversaw a moratorium on offshore drilling after the BP oil spill and promoted alternative energy sources, announced he will step down in March and on the short list as a possible replacement is outgoing Washington Gov. Chris Gregoire.

Gregoire, whose term expired Wednesday, also is considered a candidate to replace Lisa Jackson at the Environmental Protection Agency.
AS governor she felt that environmental laws did not need legislative process and chose instead to give the state department of ecology the power to write and implement AND ENFORCE their own regulations.
He appointment would be very bad news for America.
One thing I can say about the incompetent Obama, he always goes straight to the bottom of the barrel to find people to surround himself with.
From Barack’s viewpoint, either post would be a great match for Gregoire. Of course, recycling will only meet a small percent of the needs of the economy at current levels. Ah ha, I get it, recycling meets the more modest needs of Obama’s target economy
It’s not for the money, since she pocketed a ton of wampum from the Indian tribes/casinos around here.
Well, her credentials are impeccable. Stealing two Gubernatorial races in a row ain’t easy...
Naah. She’s a Democrat. Of course it’s easy !
At least you folks out there are rid of her horrible administration!
She would be a disaster at Interior as well...
I’m with you and I’m very worried about America. I never dreamed it could be destroyed so quickly. I guess when you do it from within, like a cancer, people don’t realize what is happening until it is too late.
We traded her for Jay Inslee who is as bad or worse.
The dims have been stealing the governorship here in the feminazi utopia of the left coast for years.
I will posit my ignorance, but someone once said, “I went broke slowly, then all at once.” America in a nutshell. We have been going broke (not just financially)slowly for a long time.
It doesn’t matter what particular individual holds these Cabinet positions. All must be committed to international socialism to be considered. A constitutionalist won’t be considered in the first place.
Good analogy. The American people aren’t very good at understanding analogies either.
“At least you folks out there are rid of her horrible administration!”
Oh yeah - Jay Inslee will be SO much better!

I moved from WA. to bluer than blue manysooota three years ago. I confess I didn't know Inslee captured the Governorship! From Bad to WORSE!!!
I used to tear Inslee a new arsehole when I lived out there and was really involved in WA politics. He wouldn't take my calls in short order!
Good God almighty... My prayers are with you even more knowing this.
Bay, I'm surprised you haven't jumped yet! WOW!
In a state that "finds ballot boxes" every election. :-(
PPOS continues to stick his finger in the eye of conservative Americans. May God help us!
We were on the verge of buying property in Idaho when we hit speed bumps with selling property here. Then the economy started to fail and here we are stuck in limbo.
