Dont let the lobbyists win should be the rallying call of Barack Obama to congress when he unveils wide-ranging measures aimed at curbing gun violence. Following the shooting of 27 people, including 12 children, at a school in Newton Connecticut at the end of last year, the gun debate has been at the top of most peoples discussion list and congress has to seriously consider the measures Obama is set to propose similar to those passed in New York on Tuesday. In addressing these measures, congress cannot let powerful lobbying groups such as the NRA sway them with various incentives; they have to think what the people want, and they have to think about what is right and best for the people of America.

read the other day that 5 kids a day are killed by child abuse, that is more thna guns but where is the outrage for that?
The left/media wich are the same show their hypocrisy at eevry issue.
Yes - Congress must do its duty to uphold the constitution, against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
Let’s see - where is the threat to the constitution...
(It is the duty of congress to impeach, or the people will invoke the Declaration of Independence.)
MA MIL came down here to visit, she brought her low info views with her.
She;s bene down ehre 3 tiems I htink in the last couple of years now and she for the first time did not vote for the Dems.
Anyway she came down and said she hated guns , did not want one etc.
I asked her what would she do when a person breaks in at night.
She said callt he police and so I asked her the police take over 5 minutes, they ae in your bedroom and coming at you , what will you do now.
She said well, well, well er, er, I;d pray.
I said will that stop you from being killed.
She walked away and won’t answer fro the next couple of weeks.
Since that first visit and having my gun protecting her etc she now is for guns and admits she got it wrong and she wants her grand kids to be protected.
yesterday a group of people went to the media’s hosue who put out the addresses of gun owners and asked them if they will put a sign outsdie their house saying gun free zone.
All of them refused to do so , even some citing that the crimiansl would now know where to hit easier targets.

How special, yet another post and run idiot who never responds, never says what his take on the article is, only posts the article and then runs away like a troll.

STOP SHOOTING THE MESSENGERS
I don’t think obsnob owns or edits The New York Sun.
A great many FRs are going to FR to see what the “Libs Commies and Fascists are up to.
Every once in a while FR’s lose sight of what FR is about and that is to post articles and encourage comment. Now if the poster in their remarks support its content is one thing but posts without comment and draws personal attack because commenters are incapable of separating the message source from the messenger demonstrates the commenter had graduated with an Ignorance Degree is another..
Doubt they’ll respond.
Nicely done!

He’s a post and run type.
That was and is bannable.
Poet, this is the attack profile of a troll. Specifically, a data miner.
Only posting articles, without engaging anyone in commentary, sets up a “whisper trap”. He then harvests the comments he wants that promote or justify his agenda. “Find the facts to support my solution”, that kind of thing.
We know what he is. That’s why they get the Zot.
This poster has made 5 posts since signing up on January 4 - all articles from the New York Daily Sun blog ( not to be confused with the defunct newspaper New York Sun.)
It’s obvious to this “Ignorance Degree” holder that the poster has a connection to the blog. Maybe he’s the young boy editor himself. Apparently, the Admin Moderator agrees, judging by the new and improved title.
Nice work, Admin Moderator!
Congress is doing its duty in debating it and not passing it. We’re getting it anyway. Why is that?
