For female Mossad agents, life is like a spy-movie though not always as glamorous. Theirs is a world of intrigue, sleepless nights and, sometimes, flirtation, in conditions of ever-lurking danger, all for the sake of the state, with immense strains on their families.
For the first time, five female Mossad agents went public this week, in interviews with the Hebrew-language Lady Globes newspaper, giving readers a tiny glimpse, from the female perspective, of the clandestine activities of Israels secret service. They talked about using their womenly wiles in the service of the state, and also about the limits to that use. No matter how vital the mission, there are some lengths, they made clear, to which they will not go, and will not be asked to go.

Have you read any of Victor Ostrovsky’s books? “By Way of Deception” is a good read.

The Mossad works only for Israel, and in that vain they can and will work against the USA, including seducing officials at the highest levels.

Wouldn’t that also be true of the CIA against Israel? Or, any other nation’s spy network as well?
I don't even remember the context of the question, or why it was asked. But I remember that the answer was they should get divorced first, then re-marry after the operation was over.
This was before 9/11, you understand. The answer struck me as preposterous, and I'm sure it was from the rabbi of a crack-pot Jewish sect. But it is a similar answer to the one some imam gave recently about was it alright for a jihadist to have engage in homosexual acts in advancing jihad.
I just wonder what the jihadist would think of a woman having an affair. Oh wait, I know. Think of the female suicide bombers who were seduced by jihadists then blackmailed to blow something up along with themselves.
I doubt there are any lines at all ... at least of that variety. I’ve heard stories of female interrogators stripping down as “torture” to devout Muslim terrorists, or even explicit male/female sexual contact between interrogators in front of subjects.
Doesn’t sound all that torturous to me. But, I don’t doubt it happens under the right circumstances.
Mossad will assassinate, for goodness sake. Certainly they’re not going to get squeamish asking a female agent to take one for the team.

ZIVA!
It is a lot easier to sell that line to children, than to adults.
We need more Mossad.
I’ll tell you anything you want to know, baby.
Oh, that’s directed at the pic, not you, SotC. :)
"Does a bear sit in the woods?"
So, you are saying that there is no such thing as good guys in this conflict?
By reputation the Mossad uses a lot of Honey Pot ops. And call me naïve, but I have a hard time believing that the no-sex honeypot is a very effective technique.
In the case of the guy who was blabbing their nuclear secrets, they used a female agent to lure him to Italy (so as not to embarrass Maggie Thatcher by grabbing him in the UK). And I have to believe the guy had at least a couple of samples before he picked-up and went there with her.
There are good guys in this conflict, but sometimes the good guys resort to assassination or seduction in the face of evil. I trust Mossad to side with good FAR more than I trust our own CIA, and I trust the CIA far more than I trust our State Department. As for Obama, he ranks below 95% of the world’s national leaders in terms of my trust; I’d rather have Putin, since our interests coincide with Russia’s often enough that Putin would protect us out of self-interest more often and more effectively than Obama does.
I heard the story of the woman dressed like a stripper coming in with a Maxi pad filled with blood, saying its menstrual blood, and the agents threatening to smear him with it.

There you go again! Outing Valarie Plame, even though her fifteen minutes of flame was extinguished years ago.
She is from Chile

I see the CIA as supporting my country and our way of life.
I view the Mossad as doing neither, unless it coincidentally might benefit their mission. I have neither affinity nor enmity towards them, so long as they neither spy on us or refrain from influencing our government in any manner that is not beneficial to the USA.
Killing the bad guy is OK. Ordering a woman to have sex makes you a pimp.
Not forgivable, IMO
re: “I see the CIA as supporting my country and our way of life.”
Exactly, just as the Mossad does their country. Israel is in a constant fight for continued existence and survival. They will do whatever they need to do to help them do that. That may not always benefit the United States financially, militarily, or diplomatically.
I guess it comes down to what you believe is the right thing to do. Support the only democratic nation in that region who has been a friend, for the most part, to us? Or, turn our backs on them?
They may survive, they may not, but I’m betting on Israel coming out on top every time. I believe that the courtroom of history will rule that it was and is to our benefit to be a strong friend and ally of Israel. Call it faith.
