Time to purge (Throw out Conservatives who rejected Boehner!)
The Hill ^ | Tuesday January 15, 2013 | John Feehery

Posted on 01/15/2013 11:35:19 AM PST by Bigtigermike

If the vote for Speaker on opening day confirmed anything, it confirmed that simple fact. By having a dozen of his Republican colleagues either vote against him or not vote at all, John Boehner just barely squeaked by in his bid for a second term for Speaker.

The vote against Boehner wasn’t a vote against the Speaker’s actual performance. By all accounts, Boehner has done yeoman’s work leading the House under what can only be called difficult circumstances.

The vote against Boehner was really a vote against the Republican Party. It was a protest against Republican policies and against the Republican establishment.

Boehner should invite the 12 who voted against him to leave the GOP. They aren’t Republicans. They shouldn’t be allowed to masquerade as Republicans.

Feehery has no idea at all why the GOP is struggling.

He is a complete idiot.

Under this kind of thinking the GOP is utterly doomed.

What is a Republican?

Someone that will pledge their life, fortune and sacred honor to secure the unalienable rights of their fellow citizens.

At least that was what the first Republican President thought.

Apparently there are only 12 in the House of Representatives.

Boehner is likened to a rudderless sailboat - the wind blows the sailboat around and it flows with the winds the blow it around, Boehner needs a backbone. Yeoman’s work, yeah right. Come now how many years has Boehner been in DC? By now Boehner should be a Journeyman.

A yeoman is actually a lesser official in a royal or noble’s household. According to the American Heritage Dictionary. So we have a better understanding of what Yeoman means.

This punk isn't even dry behind the ears.

He bills himself a "Republican strategist". That takes nerve, boy! After November, a "Republican strategist" ought to be hiding under a highway overpass somewhere... not making an ass of himself on "The Hill"!

Conservatives with their sanctimony and petty personal self righteous insistence are the problem. There can be no conservative party because there is no homogeneity among conservatives.

Feehery and his rant in effect proposes the majority of the Republican be expelledd from the Party for having opinions disseenting from the mostly self-appointed leadership. Feehery proposes to divide the Republican Party to accomplish censorship of most Republicans.

He should instruct Republican allies on the outside — business groups, corporate PACS, trade associations, the Chamber of Commerce — to cease to give these members any campaign contributions.

Those are not Republican allies on the outside. They're inside and they're not allies they're owners.

We're outside and only count when they need somebody to vote for more moderates willing to follow another follower.

Reagan was a RINO - he cut and ran from Lebanon, gave amnesty to illegals, and raised taxes (even though he CUT taxes). In the eyes of certain FReepers, HE’S JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Jesus Christ was a RINO - He befriended and forgave tax collectors, advised people to pay their taxes to the government, and consorted with known prostitutes. In the eyes of certain FReepers, HE’S JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

In the case of every conservative candidate in the last election cycle, the cry went out: YOUR GUY’S JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

The unchallenged FReeper Definition of "Conservative" is: “I don't know for sure, but whatever it is, it sure as hell ain’t YOU!!!”

sanctimony and petty personal self righteous insistence

People with those traits, in my mind, are not REAL conservatives. Do conservatives tend to be principled? Yes, but they act for the best interest of the nation. Liberals may claim they are acting in the best interest of the nation and hide behind it, but I have never seen one that had anything but self-interest at heart. Our problem is that we have way too many Republicans who are only masquerading as Conservatives. It is almost as if they exist as a double agent to do the bidding of the Democrats when the chips are down. Many Republicans do not really believe in conservatism, so they cannot articulate it in a way that allows them to emerge as a leader.

For several years, the Republican Party has intentionlly undercut conservatism. An articulate, attractive conservative candidate in the Republican Party will never emerge as a leader until the Party stops undermining them. Instead we get the likes of H.W. Bush, Dole, W. Bush, McCain and Romney. What a disgusting, uninspiring list!

I quit waiting for Boehner’s testes to drop a long time ago. I am convinced that there is no there there.

Selling LIBERAL wet dreams there, John Feehery?
If I were you, I'd be concerned about which side of the issues I stood for.
Have you read The Tea Partier versus The Republican ?

I read a great article by Sheriff Jim R. Schwiesow, Ret. written February 4, 2011 from "NewsWithViews.com" and here's part of it.
Read Compromise Is a Dirty Word for Club for Growth.

Take a good long look at where "Establishment Republicans" ALWAYS take us.

Not only that, but — and I admit this is petty — there’s just something about his @#$%^ FACE that makes me want to shove a pie into it.

I dunno... maybe it’s because he looks like a Kennedy or something.
