If true, the paper should be held criminally liable.

Luckily the gun was locked up and no one was hurt.Luckily? A better outcome would have been for the perp to assume room temperature.
But I can see the point. The perp apparently did not get the gun.

It’s amazing when you don’t live entirely based on your emotions, you can foresee something like this happening.

A law needs to be passed that when a couple of political HOs are going to publish your personal information as part of the DNC’s political, commie propaganda, the HOs should be required to notify everyone whose name is to be published so they can take the appropriate precautions.

' It is reported that the burglar used The Journal News interactive gun map to target a home included on the map.'
That could have happened. The way he phrases his info is classic third person lying and cover.
He still is an idiot for supporting the continuation of gun permits, instead of calling for the abolition of such permits.

I doubt the story is true.
If I were a burglar, I would look for houses which did not have a gun.

Awww.They’re sorry, didn’t mean THAT to happen.
You know a corner has been turned when the print media
has “accidentally” taken up where Fast and Furious left off.
Stuck on stupid, and potentially tragic.

The Affiliated Police Association of Westchester County Inc. is putting The Journal News on notice that we will hold [them] accountable for any incident where any of our over 25,000 members are involved with an incident where a criminal or ex-con presents themselves at the residence of one of our members as a result of their name being made public by [their] newspaper, said Buckley.
The Affiliated Police Association of Westchester will be holding a press conference on January 15, 2013 at the Westchester County Courthouse located at 111 Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, White Plains, N.Y. at 1:00 p.m.

It is the homes without guns I would be worried about. Easy enough to check addresses on streets to see if they were gun owners.
