Chicago’s illustrious Police Chief, Superintendent or SuperNintendo (whichever you wish to call him) got on a local radio station in Chicago and told it like he perceives it. He said that citizens licensed to carry could be, and indeed predicted they would be shot by Chicago Police Officers.

Maybe the Chief should direct his officers to shoot the gang members first. It might cut down on Chicago's horrific murder rate.

Actually, the city should dump him like a piece of yesterday’s doo-doo; I’m sure that 1000 lawyers across the country heard/read that and are chomping at the bit waiting for the first “accident”.
It will be like hitting the lottery for the victim or their survivor(s) and Chicago’s pockets aren’t deep enough to cover that kind of damage anymore.
Being in plain clothes and getting shot when adrenalin pumped cops show up to a crime scene is a distinct possibility - for both cops out of uniform and civilians. Suggestion:

When I am in Roswell, NM, I don't fear the sheriff a bit, in fact they are our allies.

I kind of think it’s a bit of melodrama also. My questions to the Chief: “Are you just now starting to train officers to shoot if someone turns toward them with a gun in his hand? What were you having the officers do before?”
