It appears the last school shooting in Wyoming was with a bow and arrow.

And this one many years ago...

What a fantastic people & state that is Wyoming!

I find myself in awe over their true patriot spirit, even thou I don’t expect this bill to pass. Its mere considerations is a extremely encouraging symbol of a people growing in their will to resist tyranny. Proof that our land is not yet entirely devoid of true patriots.

Let us work to see that theses brave men & women of Wyoming may grow in number and spread in sentiment & cause to other states. While the flame of liberty can never be fully extinguished by tyranny, its brightness is a symbole of hope to men & women yearning to breath free both near and far.

Let that flame glow more brightly in Wyoming, not just as demonstrated by the acts of her leglsator but most of all in the hearts & sentiments of her people. Let us never again yield before the foot of tyranny.

Warn Washington to treed lightly and never again upon me!

This is the cry of a true patriot, a man who’s loyalty & devotion is and always has been to the cause of liberty not any particular government.

This is exactly what I have been waiting for. Come on Texas and other states! Make it clear to the Fed that you will not submit to any violation of the 2A/Constitution.

I like this part as well:
“It also includes a provision allowing the Wyoming Attorney General’s office to defend any state resident against any federal firearm ban.”

This is great to hear! And exactly what states need to be doing in the face of federal overreach- each & every time. I was very impressed when David Vitter wasted no time after firearms were seized in the aftermath of Katrina.

Every cloud has a silver lining. Let’s hope people do all they can to make this one of them!

Wonderful news. The key to breaking the power of the Federal leviathan lies with the States.

The day will come when the Federal government will become insolvent or truly tyrannical.

Hopefully, at that time there will be Warrior leaders at the State level that will lead the effort of the several States to remove from the Federal government all unconstitutional powers. i.e. reduce the Fed power by 90% :)

If that doesn't happen then we will descend into a Socialist H*ll or a civil war.

"Wyoming lawmakers have proposed a new bill that, if passed, would nullify any federal restrictions on guns, threatening to jail federal agents attempting to confiscate guns, ammunition magazines or ammunition."

Sounds good.

I love Wyoming !!!

We moved here about a year ago and I cannot say enough good things about this state.

Ok -- the winds blow (a lot), but you can just feel freedom in those winds!!

I know a state legislator who’s going to introduce this bill in his state. It’ll be a lot stronger.

“threatening to jail federal agents attempting to confiscate guns, ammunition magazines or ammunition.”

They can do it too:

“Section 241 of Title 18 is the civil rights conspiracy statute. Section 241 makes it unlawful for two or more persons to agree together to injure, threaten, or intimidate a person in any state, territory or district in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him/her by the Constitution or the laws of the Unites States, (or because of his/her having exercised the same). Unlike most conspiracy statutes, Section 241 does not require that one of the conspirators commit an overt act prior to the conspiracy becoming a crime.

The offense is punishable by a range of imprisonment up to a life term or the death penalty, depending upon the circumstances of the crime, and the resulting injury, if any.”

Bravo1 Everyone in red states should demand their state enact such bills! In NJ it is a waste of time, But those in blue, gun-grabbing states can move to the second Amendment states, form a new union and leave the gun-grabbing states to rot.

Some have called for armed insurrection or revolt - maybe even a McVeigh kind of thing.

This from WY is much better.

A possible, though not plausible scenario:

1. The Governor arrests several Federal agents which would put the fear of God into Federal agents across the state effectively shutting down any new regs.

2. The Feds sue and it goes to the Courts which could take a long time. Eventually the Courts will rule that the state can’t do the arresting.

3. THAT’s when a strong Governor comes into play. This imaginary Gov. then says, “Then bring your Army and stop me.”

4. When the Feds raid the home of a duly-elected Governor and drag him into the streets — then we have the real crisis that we need. The public does not want to see that, I don’t think.

After that, the Feds won’t have much support and that’s when we push them out of the way and get the restrictions removed. No blood spilt.

Would never happen though.
