In a speech at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, former President Bill Clinton outlined the importance mobile technology but also talked about political issues like gun control calling the availability of high-capacity gun magazines "nuts."
FORMER PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON: I grew up in the hunting culture, but this is nuts. Why does anybody need a 30 round clip for a gun? Why does anybody need one of those things that carries 100 bullets? The guy in Colorado had one of those.

The disgraced and impeached sexual predator/Father of the Year speaks.
“Why does anybody need”
I don’t remember seeing a justification of need in the constitution.
If its so ‘nuts’, ammend the constitution.
Well Bill, we certainly didn’t need a serial rapist or
a socialist muslim as president but that’s what we got.
Get over it.
“Bill Clinton” and “nuts” do not belong in the same sentence.
“The tank, the B-52, the fighter-bomber, the state-controlled police and military are the weapons of dictatorship. The rifle is the weapon of democracy. If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military. The hired servants of our rulers. Only the government-and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws.” (Edward Abbey, “The Right to Arms,” Abbey’s Road [New York, 1979])
There is a list of people from Arkansas who would be alive today of they had guns. A long list.
He’s the nut. He married Hildabeast.
Why is a 30 round magazine any more dangerous than three 10 roud magzines each of which can be swapped out for the other in a gun in less than a second?
Well Captain Dipshi*! This is directly from Pravda, and is exactly why it’s not “nuts”!
No it is about power and a total power over the people. There is a lot of desire to bad mouth the Tsar, particularly by the Communists, who claim he was a tyrant, and yet under him we were armed and under the progressives disarmed. Do not be fooled by a belief that progressives, leftists hate guns. Oh, no, they do not. What they hate is guns in the hands of those who are not marching in lock step of their ideology. They hate guns in the hands of those who think for themselves and do not obey without question. They hate guns in those whom they have slated for a barrel to the back of the ear.
So, do not fall for the false promises and do not extinguish the light that is left to allow humanity a measure of self respect.
This comment coming from the Chief Prevaricator?
The man who’s never had a real job? (Nope, government does NOT constitute a real job. It is for failed lawyers.)
The sultan of blue dresses?
Bwahahahahahaha.
Put some ice on it, bubba.
Why is a 30 round magazine any more dangerous than three 10 roud magzines each of which can be swapped out for the other in a gun in less than a second?
“I grew up in the hunting culture”
Stopped reading right there. The 2nd Amendment is not about hunting, liberal idiots.
BILL CLINTON: I grew up in the hunting culture...
Baloney. The only thing he ever hunted was...well...you know.
Why does anybody need one of those things that carries 100 bullets?
No Mr. Disgraced impeached bisbarred Clinton, YOU are nuts and any attacks on the 2nd Amendment are treason.
this disingenuous scumbag has been guarded by police officers all of his miserable political life and on leaving the Oral Office, made sure his? spawn was guaranteed SS protection for life
Bubba why does a SS agent or Arkansas State trooper need a 30 bullet clip to stop a nutjob?
Their goal is to nibble at the cheese, crumb by crumb.
Reject their whole premise.
Nobody needs THEM.
"Why do you need an semi-automatic rifle?"
"Why do you need a 30 round magazine?"
These kinds of questions are designed to put you on the defensive.
You do not have to defend your choice to own a bolt-action, pump or semi-auto - or full-auto if you want to jump through the NFA hoops.
You don't have to defend whether your handgun holds 6 rounds, or 8 or 16 or 19.
The answer to these questions is, "Because I can."
