Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise,
think on these things.
Philippians 4: 8

Holy God,
You have set Your glory above the heavens! When we consider the vastness of all You have created, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained . . . then we stand in awe of You, Lord God. We bow before You for You are Holy and Worthy of our praise. We confess that You have done great and mighty things by speaking them forth. Holy God, how excellent is Your Name in all the earth.
May we think upon You, Your Word, Your Name, and Your power. May we consider those things that are true, and honest, just and pure, those things that are lovely and of good report. Help us to focus our days on You, Lord, and to turn our eyes away from evil things. Our strength lies in our connection to You through the Spirit.
We confess, Lord, that our nation has sinned against You. Have mercy on us, Lord, for we desire repentance from such evil. We confess that we have fallen far away from You and that the current level of discourse in America is but one indication of how far we have moved from You. We ask Your forgiveness, Lord, and we ask for the restoration of this once great land.
Our military men and women need You and they need the prayer support of those whom they represent and defend. Help these precious ones, Lord, and keep them strong in Your power and might. May Christ dwell in each of their hearts by faith and may they be rooted and grounded in Your love. We pray special prayers for those military chaplains who have been severely punished for praying in the Name of Jesus. Father, reward and restore them because they have been unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Be their Banner and Shield, their Sure Defense.
Each new day presents many opportunities for every one of us to honor You, serve You, love You. Help us to put away worthless wastes of our time, and to spend our days in meaningful service and fellowship with You. We have but one life to live on this earth, Lord, and we ask You to help each of us to host Your presence here, so that Your will may be done on earth as it is in heaven. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Heavenly Father,
Strengthen those who have the courage to proclaim and pray in Jesus Name - for there is no other Name under Heaven that we are redeemed and save.
In Jesus Name
Amen

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON THE PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE "Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod" William Billings Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia (Click)
In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.
In like manner, let our prayers now rise lie a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Heavenly Father, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these brave men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your loving embrace, that You cause Your countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen. |

Thank you for your prayers, CMN. By the way, I’ve always loved the painting of General Washington praying at Valley Forge. My greatgrandfather X5 served as the General’s blacksmith and cared for his horse at Valley Forge. It’s comforting to know that we had a man of God in a leadership role in this fledgling country. May God raise up for us righteous leaders once again. How desperately America needs Him right now.

Thanks to your five-greats grandfather for his service in that crucial campaign!
The painting of Washington in prayer has always resonated with me. Would that we had men of his ilk in power now! The present regime has led us straight into the lion's mouth!
