ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS
Onward, Christian soldiers, Marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus Going on before; Christ, the royal Master Leads against the foe; Forward into battle, See, his banners go.
Onward, Christian soldiers, Marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus Going on before.
At the sign of triumph Satan's host doth flee; On then, Christian soldiers, On to victory. Hell's foundations quiver At the shout of praise; Brothers, lift your voices, Loud your anthems raise.
Like a mighty army Moves the church of God; Brothers, we are treading Where the saints have trod; We are not divided, All one body we, One in hope and doctrine, One in charity.
What the saints established That I hold for true; What the saints believed, That I believe too. Long as earth endureth, men the faith will hold; Kingdoms, nations, empires, In destruction rolled. Crowns and thrones may perish, Kingdoms rise and wane, But the church of Jesus Constant will remain; Gates of hell can never 'Gainst that church prevail; We have Christ's own promise, And that cannot fail. Onward then, ye people, Join our happy throng, Blend with ours your voices In the triumph song; Glory, laud, and honour Unto Christ the King; This through countless ages Men and angels sing.
Onward, Christian soldiers, Marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus Going on before.

Dear God:
I ask that no Airman, Coast Guardsman,
Marine, Sailor, Soldier, Reservist, or National Guardsman
Feel alone or forgotten.
O Israel, hope in the Lord;
For with the Lord there is loving kindness,
And with Him is abundant redemption.
And He will redeem Israel
From all his iniquities.
Psalm 130:7 & 8

“Onward Christian Soldiers” was written by Sir Arthur Sullivan, of “Gilbert & Sullivan Fame. I always loved G & S, and when i was a kid, was surprised that Sir Arthur had also written this hymn.
A Marine went to be with Jesus today. He was FReeper Oldteen’s beloved Husband Michael.
Please say a prayer for Teenie and her daughter and for the family.

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

Rested today - having intermittent sciatic problems.
I'm going to watch the Packers as well - will just turn the volume down. I see the Vikes have already taken a 3-0 lead.

“Onward, Christian Soldiers” was co-written by Arthur S. Sullivan, who teamed up with William S. Gilbert to create a number of musical shows. Gilbert & Sullivan shows remain popular around the world.

What Is That To You?
January 6, 2013
When you attend a childrens choir concert, youre not surprised when the children look everywhere but at the director. They wiggle, squirm, and poke each other. They stand on tiptoes to search for parents in the audience. They raise their hands to wave when they see them. Oh, yes, and they occasionally sing. We smile at their antics. The behavior is cute in children. Its not so cute when adult choir members dont watch the conductor. Good music depends on singers who pay attention to the director so they can stay together as they sing.
Christians sometimes are like singers in a childrens choir. Instead of looking at Jesus, the great Conductor of the symphony of life, we are busy squirming or looking at each other or watching the audience.
Jesus admonished Peter for such behavior. After He told him what would be required of him, Peter pointed to John and asked, What about him? Jesus answered with a question: What is that to you? You follow Me (John 21:22).
Sometimes we are distracted by what others are doing. We think Gods plan for their life is better than His plan for ours. But Gods plan for each of us is the same: Follow Jesus. When we watch Him intently, well not be distracted by Gods plan for anyone else.
My times are in my Fathers hand;
How could I wish or ask for more?
For He who has my pathway planned,
Will guide me till my journeys oer. Fraser
Every child of God has a special place in His plan.
