We know that sort of practice is a problem but the Senators don't know that. Most of them have difficulty enough trying to focus well enough to walk to say nothing of read a printed page.
And they were drunk.

“Congressional lawmakers added a provision into legislation on avoiding the U.S. “fiscal cliff” that extends for two years issuance of Liberty Bonds, the debt authorized after the September 11, 2001, attacks to help rebuild New York...
$1.24 billion of revenue bonds sold in 2005 were used for a loan for building the headquarters of Goldman Sachs. Those bonds are repaid with money Goldman puts toward its loan. This allowed Goldman to borrow at tax-exempt rates...Goldman was the lead manager on the last sale of the bonds, $1.65 billion of new and refunding revenue debt, in July. JP Morgan was the lead underwriter for the previous sale, in March, of $450 million revenue refunding bonds.”
Well, heck, everybody was taken care of- what’s the problem?

I wonder what would happen if residents of a State, using the initiative process and popular election, made it a FELONY for ANY Resident of the State that is an Elected Representative to VOTE for ANY Legislation without Reading it in it’s entirety?? This would be a STATE CRIME. What could the Feds do??

Did Feinswine put the "Assault Weapons Ban" in this mess before it was submitted and passed in THREE minutes? Did anyone in the House even get to
read it before
they rammed it through and His Majesty immediately decreed it?
It might be part of the Law Of The Land as far as anybody knows!
Does anybody know?
Does anybody have a clue?
Does anybody in Washington care?

The federal government is a thoroughly dysfunctional, corrupt, and greedy operation.
How is society supposed to continue to function morally when those in government are increasingly dishonest?

Most of these guys are lawyers. They wouldn’t sign anything that affected them personally without reading it through—even the bad lawyers among them. But, hey, this is just law-making for the whole country.

And they are are admired for the ability to perform mendacity with aplomb. Far too many people admire their ability to lie convincingly. Can’t wait to see the debt ceiling deal. I am certain Boehner will stand strong as will all the pubbies. Do I really need a slash tag?

Ok. Every day of the last four years seems to be like 'ground hog day'. I swear I've read this same article and the exact same comments at least 8 times in the past four years. Like:
I'm not sending the GOP another dime. <- Like that matters anymore? DC is out of control. DC doesn't read anything it passes, because they already know what's in there. Obozo-commie-care is about to bear it's true weight down upon us. It was decades in the making. DC is about to ban certain type of bearable arms, AGAIN! and WORSE!. They will make it stick this time. SCOTUS has turned completely Left and against We the People, and will not restrain Congress. NO ONE will restrain the Won! Can someone please ask Rush if it is
Time to Panic yet. I quit listening because he's got no answers either. I believe the answer is, conserve and let it all burn down until the mess reaches my locale, and then dig in behind a blade of grass.
Good luck to you all.
End of Rant.
Thank you.

Dang there are a lot of speed readers in the Senate !!
Considering that this was produced in a boiler-room , back door ,with no discussion , it is no wonder that the U. S. government is upside -down .
