Tax Deal Finalized
NRO ^ | December 31, 2012 | Robert Costa

Posted on 12/31/2012 12:36:48 PM PST by Ron C.

Senior Senate Republican aides tell NRO that the tax side of the fiscal-cliff deal has been finalized. Here’s a sketch of the framework:

— Current tax rates would be permanently extended for singles making $400,000 or below, and permanently extended for couples making $450,000 or below

— For singles, capital gains and dividends of $400,000 or below would be permanently taxed at 15 percent; capital gains and dividends above $400,000 would be permanently taxed at 20 percent

They had no choice. Keeping the increases to tholse making over $400k is a small win.

If they went over the cliff, the GOP would be done for. As all the unemployed workers walk out of their contractor jobs, the MSM would be playing it non stop that the GOP took their jobs.

Those inside the Washington DC bubble both Democrat and Republican do not understand the taxation obligations and Cost of Living Hardships of families earning only 450k a year especially if they live in New York, Boston, Miami, Dallas or any place in California.

People are going to be hurting out there and our politicians don’t care about these middle class working folks.

Put another way, a each married taxpayer is worth only 56% of
a single taxpayer, even worse than the 3/5ths rule for slaves.

Maybe your employer, who will more than likely be paying more in taxes,
will decide he has to let a few employees go. Hopefully, u won’t be one
of them. If not, u may not pay more or any taxes at all because u may not have
a job. Sooner than later, the DC Party will come for your tax bracket as well.

And the spending cuts get kicked down the road....again!

And spending is the problem, under taxing is not.

How do they fix the spending problem? Force the tax slaves to work harder, longer, and faster (but don't anyone dare touch the bounty of the freeloaders) and spend some more money on government unions (like giving them $900 pay raises). That should fix just about everything, right? We should be out of debt by Monday!

Corker just said that as soon as the tax side was agreed to, Obama reneged on the spending side. Obama said that now that they will have more money in the treasury from the tax increases, they don’t need to cut spending.

Republican surrender monkeys at work under arch monkey McConnell.

Now for the House surrender monkeys to move, under their arch monkey Boner.

You have to admire Obama. He’s a master chess-player. But then he is playing against a pack of novices.

He has succeeded in fractionating the GOP. Checkmate. If the Senate GOP approves this - as is likely since they are the more liberal of the two, it goes to the House.

If the House approve it, it will only be with the House Dems and a few liberal Republicans.

Net accomplishment - split House and Senate RePubicans, and House Repubicans, punish the successful, steal their money, raise taxes, cut nothing and create a victory for Obama.

If it doesn’t happen pretty much all of the above occurs.

Listening to the radio today to a conservative talk show host named Larry ?.

He said the GOP could win this by sticking to no tax increases without cuts, prepare their own plan and put it forward.

After the new Congress meets, repeat.

Obama loses. If the Country goes over the cliff, its HIS fault. Blame him.

But they have no guts, backbone or brains which is why they need to be thoroughly destroyed and replaced by another political party.

I believe this only the tax side, the spending cuts is the big issue.

They do have choices. Hiding under their desks and allowing the dims to run out the clock is 100% on the GOP. They just do not have the fight in them. Totally whupped by the MSM & Marxists. Dims have revolutionary zeal. Beltway GOPers have a job and a pay check to protect. Guess who wins?

All this leaves only one possible outcome, economic calamity.

Since the election, I've come to face the fact that we're just watching the collapse play out.

The plan seems to be to let Obama sign the largest tax cut in history after the first.

Great job, GOP.

The GOP has been on this road for years. They are trying to survive till 2016. Going over the cliff would make the midterms very hard.

Won’t the gay folks feel honored that Obama and his people are making a way for them to be screwed by the government in this way just like the rest of us?
