President Obama wants more gun-control laws, but perhaps he should care more about enforcing the ones already on the books.
He granted an exclusive interview to NBCs David Gregory on Saturday, even though the Meet the Press anchor is under investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) for possession of an unregistered high capacity magazine in the District. It is also unclear how Mr. Gregory passed the Secret Service background check to enter the White House while under criminal investigation.
**SNIP**
Chief Lanier is stuck between a rock and a hard place. If she does not charge Mr. Gregory with the felony, she sends a message to the crime-ridden city that the laws dont apply to the rich and powerful. However, if she books him on breaking the citys onerous firearms law, it will further illuminate how ridiculous the laws are for law-abiding people to follow.

just another liberal commie terrorist in the whitehouse
Do the laws apply to the ruling class?
So,,, was the issue of the ‘unregistered high capacity magazine’ in Gregory’s possession brought up during the “exclusive interview?”
The DNC has been colluding with the media on “news stories” for some time now.
What did Barack Obama know about Gregory’s stunt (since they DID ask about clearance from the DCPD) and when did he know about it?
What’s to investigate??? He had the mag in his hand on national television!!! “Red handed”
Your little laws don’t apply to little people.
Funny that Gregory was calling for stricter gun laws as he violates the old laws....
I always sort of shake my head whenever I see mention of DC Police Chief Lanier.
Once when I was in DC for some sort of march, I was standing on the sidewalk next to Chief Lanier. Some group marched by—I think it was Code Pink, IIRC, and they had somehow removed the ends of regular light bulbs, and filled the bulbs with bright red enamel paint.
There was a row of several DC police cars parked along the street right in front of us.
The code pinko’s proceeded to throw the light bulbs at every one of those police cars which of course, caused a lot of expensive damage to the cars.
The paint also splashed on my coat and my favorite cowboy boots—and I was furious! I was never able to get all of it off.......
Chief Lanier didn’t bat an eyelash—she never moved, and the pinkos marched on by, with no police action taken. I found it incredible-—but what did I know.
bttt
Why do they want more gun laws when they don’t enforce the ones they already have?
The State has no power over an honest man.
Reference Ayn Rand.
I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for the D.C. cops to charge David Gregory.
Pickles can be delicious.
Headline should read:
Gun Law Felon goes to Whitehut to interview Gunseller of the Century.
Laws don’t apply to “Progressives” because they are morally-superior.
Pardons for all my good liberal friends! - king obama
IMHO Chief Lanier would prosecute the reporter. Why? She does not believe in guns period. Problem in Wash DC is political pressure will come from the top to lay off the elites. Presecuting the reporter will make it hard for her bosses but not prosecuting will piss off the poor in the city as they watch white previlege prevail. Freepers who do not believe in the 1 percent or class distinction in this country observe how this case unfolds. Old saying - in a fight between the poor and middle class, the GOP will support the middle class, and the Dems will support the poor. When it is the rich against the poor or middle class, GOP will cater to the rich openly and the Dems cater to the rich quietly. My prediction, the reporter will get a slap on the wrist because he is part of the 1 percent social circle.
