I don’t want any deal. I don’t want subsidies for any product, and I don’t want entitlements to be extended any further. I’ll pay $8/gallon for milk, and I’ll do without ethanol....also please don’t tell me oil/gas is subsidized; the lion’s share of oil subsidies is for the Strategi Oil Reserve; Obama will just dole that out this winter for all the poor peoples in the NE who don’t want to pay for their heating oil.

Jim Jeffords ring a bell? We could have kept him in the Republican voting column through most of his career if we'd simply caved in to him on the milk price support items he wanted.

That was peanuts compared to the costs of letting him slip over to the Democrats so they could organize the Senate!

It looks like somebody on the Democrat side remembers those halcyon days ~ which makes me wonder immediately WHOSE VOTE IS FOR SALE!

Were do cows live? Who votes on behalf of cows? ~ gotta' be some Dem senators in New England, New York, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin ~~~ California perhaps? Ever see the price of cheese there? Then there's Oregon ~ and its vast herds of dairy cows.

Rather than complain the writer should work backwards into who has cows and what do they want for them? Then we know where the Democrat wink links are.

No deal. Over the cliff will do more to restore some sanity. Pull an all out campaign to blame the Democrats and King Obama. It will be hard.

1. Spend money we don’t have.
2. Spend money we don’t have.
3. Spend money we don’t have.
4. Spend money we don’t have.

Thanks, but no thanks. Here’s a radical idea for the parasites to ponder: Reduce the size and cost of government NOW or we’ll do it for you.

No deals —

Let the automatic spending cuts kick in

and let the unemployment benefits expire

and let SSI withholding go back up to where it was

and let the House go back home and enjoy the holidays

and let the liberal media wail all they want.

I suggest you all e-mail McConnell. Yapping back and forth to each other is not doing any good except to make us feel better.

Does this mean I shouldn’t be buying any milk stocks for the New Year?

...the deal purportedly would include a "milk fix" that allegedly would avoid a dairy market catastrophe created by the failure to renew the farm bill

Who'd A Thunk that the government regulations would make dairy farming so dang expensive that it took tons of taxpayer money to mask what it did to production costs by keeping the price artificially low????

Maybe if the price skyrockets, people will have another opportunity to explain exactly why big government is so dangerous...
