I'm surprised that you consider that to be a difficult question. First of all, I'm a man. An American man. Like every other man (or woman) I'm a spirit driving a body. Mine just happens to be black. How does that make me any different than you? Or any other person? Does the paint job determine what's under the hood? No, it doesn't.
If this country split across racial lines in a hot civil war, why would I side with people who I have nothing in common with, besides a paint job? Do you honestly think that I would have more allegiance to DNA than I would to the concepts and convictions that power my mind and heart? Tell me you don't really believe that.
