I could answered the question for you. It really wasn't hard at all. Too true. A person can't rightfully call themselves a conservative unless they identify themselves first and foremost by the timeless truths and ideals which compose that ideology.
There's nothing wrong with being proud of ones ancestry, but that's not what makes us who we are. It's the ideals we live by.
