"And then there's a lot of laughter," Michelle Obama added.
The president said that everyone thinks his wife is the funny one, but, he said, "I'm funnier than people think."
"I am," he insisted.

Being his beard has its perks.
My gawd, when does he ever stop promoting himself? Even when talking about his wife, he has to make it a competition about how much "funnier" he is than her.
And, have you ever wondered: Does that Grandma who is there, living "rent free" and does she get paid a salary for babysitting the Obama daughters? I am sure they have finagled some way to make her grandmother role an official, salaried one...like "professional nanny" or something. And, I just bet our tax dollars are being used for that, too.
When I read some of the comments below the article I got sick to my stomach.
They really have a hold on some of us.
Yeah - he’s one funny ass alright - funny like a rattlesnake.
Yeah. And why do they need her now? Those kids are not babies, and have SS agents up the wahoo watching their every move.
Fixed it.
Oh you're a riot Alice Barry. A RIOT !
Mrs Bush never takes a bad pic (but then, I’ve had a little crush on her for some time now.....)
Some pics are better than others. The official White House photographer’s pics of the Obamas are almost as good as the ones the press chooses to use. The official pics of Laura Bush (whom I also love) are dramatically better than those the press selects. The selection bias is as striking as the rest of the press bias.
As he winks to his extra special secret service dude.
That’s it in a nutshell. Narcissists ALWAYS must one up anyone else’s story. Hubby and I were in a band one time with a lead guitarist who was like this. Thought he was Gods Gift To Women, and no matter WHAT story you told, he had ALWAYS done the same thing, only better. I remember after one gig, he decided to go home with a gal in the audience who was NOT his wife, and expected me to keep quiet about it. I told him in NO UNCERTAIN terms that if I was asked, I wouldn’t lie for him. Talk about fuming (him, not me). After all these years, I wish I’d told her anyways, but she eventually figured him out on her own. As soon as I come across people like this, I steer clear.
