Mitt Romneys son says that his defeated dad never actually wanted the top job and he was reluctantly convinced to run for president.
He wanted to be president less than anyone Ive met in my life. He had no desire to
run, the eldest Romney son Tagg said in an interview with the Boston Globe. If he could have found someone else to take his place
he would have been ecstatic to step aside. He is a very private person who loves his family deeply and wants to be with them, but he has deep faith in God and he loves his country, but he doesnt love the attention.
Tagg says that he and his mother Ann were the ones to help convince Mitt to put his own personal reservations aside and focus on the needs of the country.

Yep, we were all duped weren’t we? Just imagine if someone who actually wanted the job ran? I knew I should have submitted my name as a write in!

Fred Thompson didn’t want it either. This is getting to be too much of a pattern.

If Ann and the boys were able to convince him to enter the race in the first place, maybe they should have tried to convince him to attack Obama as ferociously as he attacked the conservative candidates in the primary.

I really believe that Romney had a very good understanding of how far the Country moved into communists control. Romney is very smart and well educated in economics and knew the road for many generations will be almost impossible. I feel the deeper he got the more discouraged he became and just got tired. And thousands in the GOP did not support him and would rather have King Obama. Many hard ignorant Republicans shown no support.
America had a chance, not perfect, but what we have done will never be repaired. America is economically finished and just a question when we will look like Greece and our streets will be violent.

To demoralize us and pit us against each other.
It's the Alinsky way.

Understood. I was asking about this one particular occurrence.

If this is true, the GOP elite have yet another reason to be kicked out. If someone doesnt want the job, you dont push them into it OR waste money trying to elect them. It is not true. Romney has been running for president for decades. It was destined to be his (in his mind).
I'm not so sure the super liberal is done yet.

Someone with no fire in the belly will never win.
But all the RINO’s, media, Rove, Coulter, Beck, etc. kept telling us, “He’s the only one who can beat Obama!”
It’s over folks. As Gingrich and Rush said, we are in the minority and our impact diminishes numerically by the day.......
Time to press in to God.......the darkness is increasing.....

I always thought that he was running mostly because he perhaps feels that his dad George got screwed out of a chance. (His Dad’s brainwashed remark.)
