Mitt Romneys son says that his defeated dad never actually wanted the top job and he was reluctantly convinced to run for president.
He wanted to be president less than anyone Ive met in my life. He had no desire to run, the eldest Romney son Tagg said in an interview with the Boston Globe. If he could have found someone else to take his place he would have been ecstatic to step aside. He is a very private person who loves his family deeply and wants to be with them, but he has deep faith in God and he loves his country, but he doesnt love the attention.
Tagg says that he and his mother Ann were the ones to help convince Mitt to put his own personal reservations aside and focus on the needs of the country.

Dont see it as a shocking revelation, though.Dad never wanted to be President: Tagg Romney makes shocking revelation as he says Mitt had to be pushed by Ann and the boys
Well, at least he took the conservatives out of the race...or was that his order from the onset?
“Bah, I never really wanted those grapes. They were probably sour anyway.”
He sure went out of his way to trash better candidates...
I believe him. President was just a stepping stone to the real goal : To be a God.
Okay, so Mitt is a liberal loser and Tagg is a liar.
If this is true, the GOP elite have yet another reason to be kicked out. If someone doesn’t want the job, you don’t push them into it OR waste money trying to elect them.
True...but the trouble is, there aren’t enough of us.
Did he not have the fire in the belly ?
Well....he got his wish. Never liked him anyway. I miss 1980.
I don’t believe it. He ran twice.
Fifth-column agitprop.
Transparent example of same, too.
Like not a single Romney, ever, went into the military.
Big news!
Sounds like sour grapes to me. Now Mitt joins my list of election losers:
Partial list of Prominent losing candidates:
Mitt Romney, Moderate, president
Juan McCain, Maverick, president
Paul Ryan, Conservative, VP
Sarah Palin, Conservative, VP
Tommy Thompson, Moderate, Senate
Todd Akin, Conservative, Senate
Richard Mourdock, Conservative, Senate
Sharron Angle, Conservative, Senate
Christine O’Donell, Conservative, Senate
George Allen, Conservative, Senate
Joe Miller, Conservative, Senate
Ken Buck, Conservative, Senate
Alan West, Conservative, House
Doug Hoffman, Conservative, House
JD Hayworth, Conservative, Primary
Now that they have lost the election, they have zero power to change any laws towards the conservative agenda.
Winners:
Marco Rubio, Scott Walker, John Kasich, Rick Scott, Nikki Haley, Kelly Ayotte, Haley Barbour, Bobby Jindal
The winners are our only hope of slowing down the big government socialism train driven by the Kenyan driver.
Hey Mittens - we really didn’t want you either. I voted for you, but too many others stayed home.
Well that means he is probably sane.
Really, what sane perosn would want that job, especially heading into financial armageddon.
I didn’t want Romney but I have to say, maybe he is smarter than I gave him credit for.
I know how Slick Mitt feels. I never wanted him(or McCain or Obama or Hillary) to ever be president either.
