Sunday morning on Meet the Press NBC host David Gregory grilled NRA leader Wayne LaPierre in a heated exchange over the gun control debate.

The blood of the Sandy Hook massacre victims stains David Gregory along with all those who deny victims the right to self defense. Shame on David Gregory!
Is this the same David Gregory who violated the DC magazine ban today by holding up a standard capacity (30 round) AR 15 magazine on the set of “Meet the Press” ?

I saw this exchange. It was pathetic. Gregory continually cast doubt on LaPierre over the chance that an armed cop at a school might not halt a shooting, and then demanded that LaPierre embrace gun control because it MIGHT stop a shooting, evidence to the contrary. Classic media double-standard.
David Gregory and common sense SHOULD NEVER be used in the same sentence. People with common sense are not sheep who will follow any politician with a “D” after their name anywhere the politician wants to take them.
Bang bang bang bang bang, and change 2 3 4 bang bang bang bang bang, and change 2 3 4 bang bang bang bang bang......
My estimation is the difference between firing off 30 rounds compared to 6 clips of 5 for someone who knows what the are doing is 20 - 25 seconds.
There is still no cop, nor armed guard. What difference does it make?
The amazing thing about David Gregory is that he rejects good ideas because of where they come from.....call him “fool”.
Or are "gun free" zones good enough for our children and mall workers and patrons, but not good enough for our emperor?
Remember, the right to defend yourself is a human right. It has nothing to do with David Gregory or Mr. Obama. They do not really want the children protected, as a school police officer would do. They would rather get votes off the gun issue.
When I fired infantry trophy matches with the U.S. Army, we were required to make a magazine change at the 600 yard line or we would never be able to get off our 30 rounds in the time limit. Most of the competitors could accomplish this in less than 3 seconds. Talk to some of the old-timers from World War II who fought with the M1 grand. The M1 used clips and not magazines, but even with that the soldiers became very efficient in swiftly reloading the rifles. This magazine argument holds no water.
Good for me but not for thee !
Allegiance to an ideology and to the current spokesman for that ideology, not fidelity to their nation's Constitutional protections for individual rights, seems to motivate their shallow rhetoric.
"Although all men are born free, slavery has been the general lot of the human race. Ignorant--they have been cheated; asleep--they have been surprised; divided--the yoke has been forced upon them. But what is the lesson?...the people ought to be enlightened, to be awakened, to be united, that after establishing a government they should watch over it....It is universally admitted that a well-instructed people alone can be permanently free." - James Madison
Gregory, and the legions of other so-called pundits and talking heads clearly have not been "well-instructed" or "enlightened" to the great principles underlying their freedom. After all, they are the products of the so-called "progressive" movement to remove the Founders' ideas from the nation's textbooks and public discourse. What a shame!
The fools seem to believe that they can pass a ban and all the crazies and gangbangers will instantly turn in their weapons.
"But the NBC host seems to have no problem with armed guards protecting his kids everyday where they attend school in Washington, D.C. -snip- The Gregory children go to school with the children of President Barack Obama, according to the Washington Post. That school is the co-ed Quaker school Sidwell Friends. According to a scan of the school's online faculty-staff directory, Sidwell has a security department made up of at least 11 people. Many of those are police officers, who are presumably armed."
Once upon-a-time, there were people called “journalists”. Their job was to report the news and interview people. Now, all they do is advocate socialist anti-American, anti-Constitutional views while demonizing any person or group or party that opposes their world view.
These people have been around a long time. The Bible called these type of people, “False Prophets” and it was the law of the land that they be stoned to death.
I think you concede the point that an inexpert gunman could get off a lot more shots with the magazine than with a clip. The only disadvantage to him would be the possibility of jamming the gun.
Children who attend public schools are expendable. Children who attend private schools aren’t. Simple logic according to Mr. Gregory.
