Could be your inability to make a coherent point?

1 - there aren’t enough LEOs to swarm all owners unaware.

2 - that means millions will see this coming.

3 - i lost everything in a terrible boating accident.

4 - what are the odds folks will fight back?

And I have to interject : A bit of tin foilery - I do NOT believe that the latest shootings are haphazard. I have reason to believe they are orchestrated. I have a VERY good reason to believe this. When the government does declare weapons “Illegal” there WILL be shooting in the streets. But it won’t be any of us doing it. It will be continuation of the orchestrated events that we have been seeing up until now.

Actually, I watch the news, with sort of a SIGINT bent, where news story memes have become not a chronicle of the present but a warm-up for the next campaign, in an Orwellian "hate week' fashion.

The "entertainment media" will run parallel to the themes on the news channels.

I was saddened, but not surprised that there was a mass shooting: the press had been ramping up the anti-gun meme (along with the 'entertainment' media) for over a week.

They were setting the psychological stage for outrage before the event happened.

If you watch themes in movies, listen to the retrospective filler 'human interest' pieces, and see where the discussion is going, you can almost be a prophet.

If you don't have something already stashed off site, it is increasingly likely the act of stashing something will finger you in the act.

Banks look for unusual practices, and mine have been to withdraw currency and pay cash. I have done this for years and it is a normal pattern now so it shouldn't trip a flag.

In the end, if you think it might be time to get ready for whatever comes, you are way behind the curve.

That would be a LONG occupation, like the Germans in Yugoslavia. ‘Cept the occupying forces wouldn’t be getting constantly supplied from outside their own theater.

The left simply doesn’t understand war. Like I’m going to sit around and bang it out with some swat team with an a APC parked in my drive way! What do they think I’m stupid?

The guy sitting in the APC outside is trying to enforce SOMEONE’S will on me. That “someone” is not a politician because they have no real beliefs about anything anyway. The guy in the APC is trying to enforce the will of those currently calling for me to be forced to submit. When the portion of the public that is calling for me to be disarmed is no longer available for comment, the guy in the APC gets to go home. Get it?

Yeah. I'm sure that's it.

Being an owner makes him marked, forever in my opinion

That is correct. I have a Curios and Relics FFL (03) used to purchase Mosins and Mausers a few years back. I also have a CWP with the state of Florida. Those two facts alone will ensure that I get a knock on my door by ATF goons at some point in the future.

There won't be an easy way to escape a tyrannical federal leviathan intent on consuming guns and their owners. My local shop keeps 4473 forms for 20 YEARS. All it will take is a raid on gun shops across the nation, and those forms will be used to create inventories and justify warrants to search and collect every last one of them from every person in America. Since mine are all in a safe that I'll refuse to open, you can bet that they'll rip it from my home's foundation and wheel it out, regardless of contents.

Our only hope for recourse and action is at the state level. Our "representatives" in DC are so busy pigging out at the trough that they'll turn a blind eye to farmer Obama's misdeeds. Our state governors and representatives will hopefully step up and prevent the Federal pig from rooting around in our business. It might take a local or state call to muster a militia, but it will likely happen across more than a majority of the states in the country.

How do you envision that they’ll make those of us in the country “hungry enough”?

The feds can shut down oil production and delivery. Not a whole hell of a lot of us live next to producing farmland. Those who have been preparing can keep on for a time.- a few weeks to a year or so, but for the anti hoarding measures that will be taken. It will be easy to identify 'hoarders,' anyone who is not emaciating.

And this government is in possession of the technology to find anyone's gun no matter how well he hides it. They can find deeply buried guns from the air and they have drones that will be multiplied and augmented rapidly. We would have to survive until production has degraded to the point that the government is severely limited as to how much of that tech magic it can deploy. There will b e famine in that scenario and the population will reduce fairly quickly.

It’s going to be hard on some of y’all then. :-)

Some of this is just a little too black-helicopter for me to take seriously.

On the other hand — if it should come to pass — well, a patriot has to die someday, somehow...

May I suggest again that Congress and all Government edits and paper work be done with quill pens and reproduction of those items be done on the old presses! No computer or electronic reproductions.
Ban all Auto Assault Copiers and multi-paper trays!!
Another law should be enacted that makes all Media Talking Heads have a two month waiting period, including a background and safety check.
By the way, I just changed my Church affiliation to St. Samuel Colt. :^}

There are not enough police and military personnel to go door to door to enforce any sort of ban and/or confiscation of firearms in this country. They can pass all the bills they want or sign all the executive orders they want and it cannot and will not work.

“It will be easy to identify ‘hoarders,’ anyone who is not emaciating. “

Reminds me of the protagonist in King Rat.

“The “entertainment media” will run parallel to the themes on the news channels. “

Interesting ...

I used to notice that a crime show would be based on a real case (child abduction, mass shooter, etc.) but it would be about 6 months after the fact.

Then I realized that lately, there have been very quick responses, on the order of weeks, or almost preceding the event it seems.

Which backs up your theories.

As a service to your customer, I’d recommend some primer cord and blasting caps kept inside that safe with a secure source of remote detonation. Just sayin’...

I ordered a new sub-compact a few days ago. About a week ago, the broker assured me they would have it in two days. At the time of order, they informed me that it would not be in until after Christmas. Due to back logs the delivery time is up from two days to a week.

I guess Obama is once again “Gun Salesman of the Year!”

Which actually points to a proverbial wrench-in-the-cogs. They will also be starving those they would rely on for political support. Hungry urban yutes might not back the nanny-state in a gun-grab-fest.
