So all of you have went through the police academy, got certified, served out in public, plus did tours over in Iraq and Afghanistan to understand the difference between a known threat and hidden one, know when there is a possible danger and when theirs not...they say a cavity search was performed on the side of the road...you weren’t there - neither was I - and yes, I’m glad I’m not in L.E. because I dealt with close minded idiots like each of you on a daily basis - and it wasn’t worth the time or money to attempt to explain unique situations to people like you - officers are tested on every response...and those of us with that experience have gone else where - and those that are getting recruited presently usually just have a high school education — that’s it...but the citizen complaints - stupid law suits - and citizens saying “I’ll give that officer a rectal exam” - resulted in those of us to leave that profession...and this is what is left! Grow up!

We are also mindful that the occupants willingly complied, lest they be maced and clubbed in the norm of un necessary escalating aggression & overwhelming response to nonsensical stops & other minor issues the public is apt to commit.....
That said, I fully expect this officer and the female officer to be found guilty of violating the occupants rights. Sadly, any legal payments will come from the local seat and not their own pockets.

Perhaps if law enforcement had done a better job of policing themselves, it would not suffer from the utter lack of respect that it now suffers. Your knee jerk and automatic defense of the obviously indefensible is indicative of the culture of providing cover for those that don't deserve it because "they are one of our own" is the reason. Had you made a greater effort to purge your own ranks of scum through peer pressure and not support bad behavior, the profession would have far more respect today. I feel bad for the many good cops out there that are damaged by actions like these. You should too.
I watched the movie. Tell me, do you think every woman driving past has a hidden weapon in her rectum. Doesn't every person have that same potential? So if they weren't arrested, why check for weapons? Was it your SOP to do a cavity search on everyone you pulled over, just in case?

LEO pulls this crap on my wife or daughters and they don't make it home one night. Understand? That badge doesn't make a person Superman.
The LEO saw something tossed out the window. Sounds like a littering ticket. Smells MJ? Fine, give a sobriety test to the driver. Far too many LEOs are nothing but badge bullies, who turn away from confronting real problems (too scarey) and focus instead on people they expect to be timid and compliant. I've seen that happen too many times to count.
I'm as cordial as I can be if I'm pulled over, and I've given assistance to an LEO that needed it, but I give them no more leeway than any other citizen when it comes to respecting people's rights and dignity.
LEOs now operate on the principal that to ensure their personal safety, they must violate other people's rights. That is unacceptable to free people.

Sorry , the police academy doesn’t accept people with above average IQ’s .. they’re not “malleable” enough , they tend to leave unethical organizations and that job turnover is expensive for the department ... who knows they might actually go against the grain and conduct themselves LEGALLY which will result in lower production (tickets , arrests etc.) never mind they might actually start fostering good will with the people that pay his salary and that his arrests might stand up better..
(no joke ,, police departments across the country routinely refuse to interview applicants with IQ’s above 104 which is the “norm” of 100 plus 4 points for margin of error on the test... the “personality” tests they require you to take are actually IQ tests..)
The story stated that the video they have was from a dash camera. Uless it was in a police department garage that means they were on the side of the road.
Now they waited for a female cop to come, that means if these women had a weapon stuffed up their orifices the time to get it out would have been while waiting for the female cop to arrive.
You state you are no longer a LEO, but obviously you were there long enough to join the Fraternity of cops who are paranoid,hate the public ,and trust no one but other LEO’s.

You remind me of why I think most cops are not the brightest bulbs on the string, and yet society gives you lethal weapons. You speak about closed minded idiots! Did you even look at the video? Or did you look at the video of the TV newsperson interviewing their lawyer, a former LEO himself?
As he said, going from a litter stop to a full blown on-highway cavity search is totally against procedure; unless he personally saw them stuff something in their pants. At the very least, the appropriate action would have been a pat down. THERE WERE NO DRUGS FOUND!
Finally, the TV reporter, a woman, was horrified upon hearing that the officer, even though a woman, actually kept the same gloves on when cavity searching the two women. What woman, any woman wouldn’t get righteously angry, especially when, as the victims claim, they were digitally probed in the vagina and rectum. What kind of LEO sleeze bag would actually do this?
