Texas online gun superstore Cheaper Than Dirt posted on Facebook today:
Cheaper Than Dirt! is suspending online sales of firearms effective immediately. We are reviewing our policy internally, and will continue to be the leader in the outdoor industry with our full line of gear and accessories.
They have also removed all firearms from their website.
Another business capitulates. We don't need gun grabbers when our own side will bend over and do whatever they want. I have spent thousands at CTD but will hold off on any further spending until they do the right thing. Tell them what you think on their Facebook page
Firearms sales are regulated but legal in America. Political pressure, absent new legislation and in contravention of existing law, is a form of tyranny. In this case, it happens to be the wrong approach to dealing with the wrong problem.
FYI: There are a number of states with no waiting period for pistols, including mine.
Gun "control" isn't supposed to make sense. It's supposed to feel god. Besides, it's for the children, so it doesn't matter if it makes sense.
This one surprised me. Sent em a note and won’t ever support them again. Dick’s Sporting Goods - stopped supporting them a LONG time ago.
It's supposed to feel good (typo - obviously).
I was just on their site this AM trying to order a new varminter. That’s several C-notes gone to their competition and CTD will never see me again.
Anybody that shops @ dicks is a moron.
Just went to CTD.com, logged in, went to Contact us, sent a message telling them to cancel my acct...that, after their cowardly actions, I would never do business with them again.
Also found an email from CTD, hit the “unsubscribe” button.
FUCTD
$60
So not only are they caving on weapons sales, they're tripling the price of related accessories.
I was about to order my usual Christmas present to myself which is range ammo for the next year. Usually that means 500 round blocks of 9mm, 45, 223, 7.62, etc.. Also some of those new 3d bleeding zombie targets (at $80 each). Budget was about $900. I am holding off and will probably just buy from a local gun shop. It may cost more but the principle is more important.
And insurance agents telling you how to run your business
BTW, Dick’s HQ is just down the road from me but I’ll never shop there either.
BUDS...
Buds is great. Keep your eyes open and you can get GREAT deals...with free shipping!
There has been such a run on guns and ammo since Nov 6th, they were out of stock on everything anyway ...
Time to make friends with those around you who shoot so you can barter away from eyes and ears who might find it "not acceptable."
I was going to compare the prices to the web archive cache but now it is saying it is out of stock.

HOWEVER, the cached price of this was only... wait for it.. $10.92
They jacked the price up to $60 from $10.
I just bought today some new magazines and shoulder strap straight from Ruger. I’ll pay more for a valued company.
Agree, it is usually. This AM their website was a disfunctional mess. Makes me wonder about the comment up-thread about Anonymous hacking.
I would think people should stay loyal to CTD, I have done business with them since they first started, wasn’t always peaches and cream but boycotting them now is just...illogical.
I hate to imply we have anti gun trolls here on FR but I have seen them in action, they want to start action against anything concerning guns.
Big deal CTD suspends online sales. Chances are they would have done it temporarily.
