Over the weekend, Houston Democrat Precinct Chair John Cobarruvias tweeted, "Can we now shoot the #NRA and everyone who defends them?"
This, apparently, is part of what he calls "hard-hitting political commentary" on his blog "Bay Area Houston."
Prior to the asinine tweet broaching the subject of shooting NRA members as a solution to gun violence, Cobarruvias had spent some of his "hard-hitting political commentary" mocking conservatives -- or as Cobarruvias himself put it, by "laughing and puking on GOP Tea Baggers."

Dear Mr. Cobarruvias:
I am the NRA. I am right here in Texas, live and in person. At your earliest convenience PLEASE bring it on!! I would LOVE to get it on with you. I can hardly wait for the party to begin. And oh, BYOBB. In case you don’t know what that is, that’s “bring your own body bag”.
I ask again, what relationship does the NRA—a safety-promoting, human rights promoting, sports promoting volunteer organization—have to do with a monster who kills innocent children?
Could this Houston monster—yes, he is a monster who is advocating the murder of innocent people—be trying to attack his political opponents? Is he trying to get back at his opponents for past political losses? Hmmmm—I think it is a fairly evil way to do so, very fascist.
I have often told people that leftists are potentially very violent people. Their history is unambiguous. Beware of them in the future as they gather additional political influence. The leftists’ opponents will not be treated as well as the leftists were treated in old America.
Every die hard Leftist I’ve encountered has displayed a deep seated anger at “something” that is never well defined. I know of a couple who agreed with Obama’s “revenge” statement prior to the election. They’re potential Lanzas or Loughners who either haven’t summoned up the courage or gone far enough over the edge to act on their inner impulse.
I'd rather throw him into a waiting cargo van and speed off to a place of privacy to have a heart to heart conversation. I'm sure he'd see the light.
(Of course if you add in the liberal's efforts with abortion, we are tied for first place.)

Arrest him for terroristic threats. It’s a felony...
Those in Texas should get out as fast as possible....
Hey my friend! Do not under estimate Chairman MAO. That sick Commie SOB killed more than Stalin and Hitler combined.

MOLON LABE....Johnny!!
next he’ll be driving cross-country in a diaper.
seriously, does NASA screen employees for drugs or even sanity any more?
Apparently this idiot owns a gun. It should be taken from him. He’s nuts. On the other hand, let him try to kill an NRA member. I doubt he’d win the shootout.
But this does prove to me than no liberal should be able to own a gun. Liberalism is definitely a mental disorder and there’s a law that prevents those people from owning guns.

Maybe more than just the NRA. The National Shooting Sports Foundation (sponsors of the annual SHOT show in Las Vegas) is located in Newtown, CT:

Newtown, CT 06470-2359
Here is their statement: http://www.nssf.org/shooting/
So Newtown is probably not a gun-hostile community. Ironic on many levels.
Thanks for the links.
Would you have the nerve to go crash a memorial service to capitalize on the loss of loved ones to make a political point?
I’ll tell ya, the Lefties have more brass than anyone I’ve ever seen.

That is his “blog” if anyone cares to visit. As someone else mentioned, replies are few and far between, rarely getting any response to his posts. He’s basically nothing more than a tiny fart in a tornado.
I am a republican precinct chair that nieghbors Precinct #699...
John Cobarruvias resigned his Precinct seat back in August of this year and is no longer serving in that capacity...His republican counterpart in that precinct is the current SREC committeeman and has been dealing with this asshat for much too long...But that is beside the point...
Cobarruvias certainly violated Texas Penal Code section 22.07 in levying that terroristic threat (inciting)...
I have made a call to the Harris County DA’s ofice in regards to this news, and we’ll have to see if many other calls to them will result in any pursuit of this person...
BTW, Cobarruvias is not hard to find...I do know where he lives and getting information on him is not too too hard to accomplish...;-)
A nice little FReep outside his home should be in order if anyone is interested that lives in the vicinity...
