David Thweatt, superintendent of the tiny Harrold school district in northwest Texas, believes his staff is ready. Besides special locks and security cameras, an undisclosed number of staff members and teachers carry concealed handguns. Thweatt said the "guardian plan," which drew international attention when it was implemented in 2008, definitely enhances student safety. "Is that 100 percent? No," Thweatt said Friday in a telephone interview. "Nothing is 100 percent. But what we do know is that we've done all we can to protect our children."

If I thought I could get it done ... would request this be moved to Breaking. I know this is not Breaking, yet with what The People are about to be fed, the truth needs to be briefly at the top of what has to be done to protect the children. To do less means the children are not going to be protected as best as should be protected. Liberals Hate Children being Protected, otherwise this would be policy and the law of the land. Not an agenda of Ban The Guns or limit capacity to three cartridges, as is the Government Solution at the Federal Level. Thank You for this thread. Shows what a locality, that is serious, can do to serve and protect.

“wouldnt need any bombs”
But it would be easier with bombs, wouldn’t it? Our mass killers have a variety of killing methods available.

My cousin, a crack shot and prizewinning marks-woman, teaches in Texas. And she ALWAYS carries.

And for that reason (and others)....Texas will continue to be targeted by this administration. Texas is a threat to Obama’s agenda.
That’s a given.

Amen. We have that at our school. If someone like Lanza tried that - one, he’d not be able to get in. If he broke in with a gun, he’d be dead.

A gun-free zone is a murder-zone.
When I see a gun-free sign this is what I hear: Dear homicidal maniac, We certify there is no one inside this facility who can meet you with any real force. You have about ten minutes or so to kill as many people as you can. Signed, The Management.
I talked with a man the other day and he said Well, you cant have security guards in every school. I said guards? You dont need to employ guards. Whats wrong with all the other people in the school? The teachers, principals, vice-principals, janitors, lunch ladies, office workers, councilors, and others? These are grown men and women. If they choose to get a CCW they should be allowed to pack. There should be guidelines for carrying on the job in a school - not laws prohibiting it!
So many people want to live in The Shire where wolves are outlawed.
No wolves here, Thank you. Why, we dont even need to know how to repel a wolf attack. And anyway we have people to do that if it ever comes up.
But wolves do not disappear just because people make it illegal to be a wolf.
And then, one day, a wolf is sniffing at your door
To: snowstorm12
Agreed. I’ve wondered this. Especially our “yellow school buses”. Kids are sitting ducks and you don’t even need to be near a school. An easy simultaneous attack would be devastating...

“Gun-Free Zones” are invitations to these mental cases. The shooters show great displays of cowardice, and would never attempt to shoot up a place that had armed, trained people.
Even the Ft. Hood shooter KNEW that the soldiers would not be armed in the dining hall.

Those children are well-protected. She’s probably ex-mil too.

This is too much common sense used for adapting to freedom, for the commies to handle.

Great Post.
But its also a fact that the federal legislation set up
live-kid shooting galleries for every whacko , and terrorist in the country.
Step right up whackos and have yer fun!/s That could not be any clearer. Liberal ideology just died there in Connecticut.
And kids are not quite as stupid as the liberals and leftists think:

This is the key to the sadness that comes following an unarmed school and the slaughter of small children because there were no guns in the school to protect those babies. It is very simple. You need a gun safe and 3 people have the combination and men teachers are certified to use them. This no gun policy is madness in today’s times. There are 60 million rifles here and we are not giving them up.They are our constitutional right and any attempt by politicians to touch them will cost them their office.
