A U.S. soldier was killed Friday after he opened fire on members of the Military Police at the Fort Hood Army base in the state of Texas, according to a source.
The MPs at Fort Hood while on routine patrol discovered a suspicious vehicle parked near the main gate of the base in the early morning, according to the law enforcement source.

I salute your Father, he’s an American hero. What an amazing generation of men.
Soldiers don’t like MPs because MPs reel them in when when they’re drunk or AWOL, and they don’t like Airborne because they think it’s an abomination to jump out of a perfectly good aircraft.
I can’t say I disagree, but somebody had to jump into Normandy, and that somebody had to use parachutes.
I kinda liked the MP`s in VN...they would bring
in the girls in their armoured cars, imagine some
of them went back home quite wealthy.
They also sold china white and jap speed where I was
Like you said punks,correct
They were armed when I was serving.
If you drew armory protection during guard duty they issued you a pump shotgun.
Our family lost a member of the 101st in Viet Nam. I guess his name could be looked up somewhere on the web. His last name was Kaiser. He was my first cousin.
Spent some nights out in the jungle with a dog and his handler.
You could sleep when they were on watch.
Oh and IIRC they were both MP’s.
Well, all I know is they apparently weren’t armed when the shooting was going on at Ft. Hood. I was shocked and appalled. Who would have ever thought that an army base was a gun-free zone? Not even the MP’s were armed, and apparently the person in charge of their armory was not available at the time. At least that was what I heard.
Oh, no! Liberalism’s envy, hate, rage and insanity has borne more fruit.
I’m thankful he did not accomplish killing the MPs.
Hell, back in the 80's we went on one "sensitive op" where beforehand we were taken out and fired every single organic weapon known to the militarty at the time in order to be prepared.
The fun came when the op was over and we got to dispose of those arms so we did not fly home with "Class A Explosives" on board and could re-fuel at standard ports.
Let’s not forget the glider troops!
I know what you mean. One wonders whether we will ever have C.I.C. that we respect, again.
Investigators later determined that the 30-year-old man was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood.
The soldier’s name wasn’t immediately released. The investigation is ongoing.
Live through fighting a war to come home and find your bank account drained and/or your wife divorcing you or screwing around; couple that with the typical readjustment issues of everything in the real world changing while you were away.
Sadly I have seen it happen to some really strong men and women.
At Camp Telega which is on Camp Pendleton the the punk M.P.'s would turn around at the front of Telega because they were to big of pu$$ys to venture into Telega. The recon Marines stationed there did not take any shit from them.
Yea and once you were back at the base camp these M.P.'s would turn into omnipotent a$$holes.
I’m not sure what your problem is, but you sound like a real ass.
