DENVER (AP) Sara Stevenson spends her working hours surrounded by Republicans, namely the married men who work alongside her in a Denver oil and gas firm company. But after hours and on weekends, she usually spends her time with other single women, and there's not a Republican in sight among the bunch.
"There was just no way I could have supported any Republican this year," said Stevenson, 31. "They skew so much to the religious right. ... They focused so much on taxes. It's not something that women in my demographic really care about. I've never heard my friends lament their taxes."

I’m not a redneck woman. I’m more of a suburban type. My cousin who lives upstate is a TOTAL redneck. Although, he treats his wife like gold, as well as whom he considers close friends and REAL family (not all of our family is included).
He’s been at me to buy his parents home across the street from him. I keep telling him I want out of NY and he keeps trying to tell me things are “different” up there.....which they are.
He considers my brother, sister and I like family and treats us as such.

"Well used to have a good career but the constant offshoring of jobs just kept cutting that down. And then life had a few surprises for me that I was not prepared for. ;)." Just saying we all live in these perilous times. If you are married to a good woman, she will pick up the slack where need be, and you will pick up the slack in which she may no longer be able to.
God said man and wife become one. Period, end of story. Unfortunately most people getting married now a days already have divorce on their minds (obviously they don't think it will work but do it anyway).
Hate to say it, but there are VERY few singles out there whom still have the virtue and values that once made us and our country great.
Makes me a little sad. By the way...life is FULL of little surprises we are not prepared for. Have a bad feeling we're in for a heck of a lot more!

I resembled that. I got saved, quit drinking 20 years ago. I dated a bunch of women about 30 to 35 year old. Most all went out clubbing on Thursday and Friday. One would show up for Church reeking. A few figured I was weird because I did not want sex.. That was over 12 years ago
I have not been on a date since then but I am use to it and I am very content.
I wish you well

“A potential mate that supports OBummer is a deal breaker for me.”
I have found that match.com has a button for that!! You select conservative or ultra conservative.

I am just a little irked over that one. It is becoming a profession and they think they are entitled. Here in AZ or NV the kids get great health care and so does the childs parent or guardian.
What will happen in the months after the EBT cards read error?

Nah, I'm just poking fun. :D

You'd have to use your best judgement on that - I couldn't tell you anything about the NE, but generally IMHO, the farther one gets into the country, the more sane things become.
I can tell you that you wouldn't find me within 500 miles of NYC. Shoot, I can smell Chicago 50 miles (upwind) before I ever even hit the suburbs. No thanks. I'll stay out here in flyover country.

I remember my father saying this back in the 1970's when the first bank cards and automated tellers started becoming more common. Sure ain't pretty.

BTW, about power backups, IIRC, Mom worked at K-Mart from 1973 to 1976 and she told me that if the power ever went out, they had 4 “special registers” hooked up to a battery backup system that would work, but in today’s world, if the comm lines were down, the EBT and debit cards would be useless although cash and check transactions can still work.

B-) Well, my father did take the Blazer on road trips so it has that under it's belt. B-) It was his neighbors car and he borrowed it. He also bought ti for me since I was struggling at a low paying job and needed some wheels. I'm glad for my new job, pay is a lot better, I'm in the mortgage and loan industry proofreading documents and fixing errors. It is a 9 month assignment but has a good chance of going permanent, I hope so, this is the highest paying job I've ever had, I'd like to get rid of some debt monkeys and save some money aside for "just in case."
I have my 1997 Explorer. I heart him! Never once slipped in snow or ice. Got me to and from safely!
I had a 1994 model myself. One thing to watch out for is the right, rear rocker panel. It rusts like crazy and it looks like Jaws took a bite out of it. Mine started to get a lot of problems too and the rear differential went. My economic situation did not help either. It wasn't a bad vehicle but I like the Blazer better, at least I can put it in auto 4WD, IIRC your Explorer has it too. I also have Bose system in my Blazer and a subwoofer. As to the subject of singles and so on, I'll answer in a day or two, pretty soon I have to leave Freeperland for the "Land of Nod" since I have work tomorrow. B-)
