RUSH: A terrible and awful thing has happened in Connecticut at a school in Newtown, Connecticut, I'm told. A shooting at a school, 26 people dead, including 18 children. It's just awful. It is terrible, incomprehensible. But I'm gonna tell you something. As we sit here at this very moment, you know it and I know it, there are liberals trying to find a way to blame this on conservatives and Republicans. It may sound a little hard-edged to say that, but I've lived through these things for 25-plus years.
Every such incident as this, even Hurricane Katrina, they tried to blame on Bush. We actually had people saying he didn't care. He wanted to steer it if he could have to get rid of the population there. So we shall soon see. It won't be long. Gabby Giffords shooting, you name it. Any incident like this. There was the Dark Knight Rises shooting in Aurora, Colorado. Brian Ross, ABC News, blamed it on the Tea Party. So it may sound a little hard-edged to say it, but I'm telling you, there are elements of the mainstream media who are doing everything they can, their number one objective is to see if there's anything they can blame on conservative media or Republican policies or the Second Amendment. I don't care what it is, you know that that's coming. I just want to get it out there and prepare you for it.
RUSH: Even as I was explaining and reacting to this horrible shooting in Newtown, Connecticut... Maybe, what, 14, 16, 18 children are dead. Some are only four or five years old. Even as I was saying/predicting that the left/the media were trying to figure out how they could blame this on conservatives -- or politicize it, turn it into an event to advance their agenda...
As I was saying that, a hostette at MSNBC, Alex Wagner, said, "Hopefully, this shooting will result in political capital to reform gun laws. It is hopefully -- and we say this every single time we cover one of these things. There's gotta be some kind of measurable change, some kind of reaction. One would hope there would be some political capital to reform the way in which we handle gun and gun violence in this country."
So they're already calculating. That's what so peeves me about these people. You've got a horrible event here, and they're already looking to politicize it. It's not what it is. It's an opportunity! These people look at stuff like this as an opportunity (it's sickening) to advance their agenda or blame conservatives. The shooter's dead. CBS says a second person is in custody. Jay Carney, the White House spokesman, has already been asked if the shooting will help advance gun control.

RUSH: By the way, to all you leftists who, in a sickening fashion, are trying to conceive ways to politicize this just awful incident in Newtown, Connecticut, trying to find a way to get rid of guns, trying to find a way to politicize this and advance your agenda, let me just point out we had guns 30, 40, 50, a hundred years ago, and we didn't have mass murders every other month.
So what's changed? It is not the number of guns that's changed. If you people on the left are so eager to control things, we actually need some values control. We actually need some social guardrails. I don't even know if that would eliminate stuff like this. We don't know why yet, purpose, reason. The psychological community is eagerly trying to understand this, too.
That's another aspect of this. "We must dig deep, Mr. Limbaugh into the psyche of the shooter to find out what it is that makes them do these things. We must learn."
Why?
"Well, so that we can attempt to prevent such behavior, recognize it in certain people and prevent it from happening in the future."
What would you do if you recognized it? Before they picked up the gun and started firing away, what would you do?
"Well, of course, that would depend on the nearest jail, Mr. Limbaugh."
Here's Piers Morgan, British import, CNN. He just tweeted: "Nothing happened after Aurora. Now it must." We don't even know what happened yet. We know the end result of what happened, but we don't know anything about this yet, and the left is already mobilized. As they always will and always do, they try to politicize the event for their advantage, mobilize down their anti-gun highway.

RUSH: Well, now CNN says that the number of people killed at the Newtown, Connecticut, school is closer to 30, and a federal law enforcement official says that most of the dead are children. And even as we speak, the Drive-By Media and the Democrats are attempting to politicize the issue to advance their own agenda. In this case, probably an assault on the Second Amendment again. I guarantee you that they are overturning everything they can in their quest to be able to blame this on Republicans. This, to them, is an opportunity. At least to the Democrat media people that are tweeting and Facebooking on this, they are excited about it. Oh, yes, it's a golden opportunity. It's sick.

I’m inclined to agree with you. My thought is that the psychiatric associations are probably infiltrated with agents who are working on a specific agenda. When they removed homosexuality as a disorder, that was a step that furthered the cause of the left. Allowing the insane to wander loose was another such step. They could very well be creating human time bombs through “therapy” that could be triggered at comfortable intervals. And the associations are broad enough to avoid linking a number of individuals together.
What is this news on Andy Dean talk radio show about another shooter in the woods outside the school. If so, would this not suggest a terrorist attack. Authorities of course know more than they are revealing. Why are they still holding the father and brother of the shooter.
So, let me get this straight. ONE citizen out 330,000,000 does something like this every 20 years or so so we should screw over the 329,999,999 for the next 20 years????

Baning firearms has nothing to do with fixing crime it is about propagation of government power.
Last month we had a National referendum on government power. The voters want more government and higher taxes for the other guy.
Conditions of mental health have to do with civil rights, just like with AIDS. The way out political system now works, all that stuff will stay broken.
The government isn't concerned with causes. It is looking for results.
The people in that school had the right to defend themselves!
God gave them the right to defend themselves.
Where were the armed guards, teachers, custodians, police?
The real root cause is because God has been told to get out of our educational system. Don’t bring a Bible to school, and don’t you dare say Merry Christmas or mention Jesus Christ. Yet, the first thing we were told today was, “PRAY”!! I’ve have turned off the TV because it’s already been made a political gun issue by the MSM, and that includes FOX News, too. No wonder our young ones are confused today.
I’m a 77-year-old grandmother, and young moms and dads, God Bless You! I know it’s not possible for all, but if you can home school, DO IT! Public education is the prime promoter of this godless society. We need to wake up before it’s too late.
Nothing to do with politics? Are you kidding? If the Propaganda Ministry didn’t turn this into a freaks how 24/7 these things would diminish. This is ALL ABOUT POLITICS. This is about turning Zero’s opposition (us bitter clingers) into CRIMINALS. GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR PELVIS!!

Our laws protect the mentally ills confidentiality to the extent that they have become a danger to all of us. We spend much more money on saving people from a preventable disease, aids, than we do on mental illness, prostate cancer and TB combined.
Our legal system is killing our kids...
Last year there were 32,367 people killed by vehicles and United States, yet anyone in the United States who has the money, can buy a vehicle without even a background check. It’s not even necessary to prove citizenship before you drive off the used car lot with your killing machine. It’s a proven fact that if 95% of these people were hit by bicycles they would still be alive.
America must wake up and get these killing machines out of American society. /sarc>
