The most sobering finding is that 46% of Turks say they hope that one day Germany will have more Muslims than Christians.
Germans are overwhelmingly mistrustful of Islam and Muslim immigration, according to a new research survey, which concludes that the image of Islam in Germany is "devastating."
The findings -- which corroborate the conclusions of other recent studies -- show a growing divide between ordinary Germans, who are concerned about the consequences of mass immigration from Muslim countries, and Germany's political elites, who are determined to build a "multicultural" society at any cost.
The 28-page study, "Fear of the East in the West" [Die Furcht vor dem Morgenland im Abendland], was produced by the Allensbach Institute for Public Opinion Research, and was published by the center-right German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on November 21.
Those who participated in the survey were asked to choose which of 21 statements about Islam most closely reflect their own views.
The research shows that more than half of the German population believes that Islam is prone to violence (64%); has a tendency toward revenge and retaliation (60%); is obsessed with proselytizing others (56%); and strives for political influence (56%).
More than 80% of Germans believe that Islam deprives women of their rights, and 70% say Islam is associated with religious fanaticism and radicalism.
By contrast, only 13% of Germans associate Islam with love for neighbors, 12% with charity and 7% with openness and tolerance.
The high level of mistrust of Islam in Germany is also reflected in other questions. For example, 44% of those surveyed answered "yes" to the question, "Do you think there will be serious conflict between the Western Christian culture and the Arab Muslim culture in the future?" In addition, one quarter of respondents say they believe that such conflict already exists at the current time.
Another question concerns the term "Clash of Civilizations," a concept which states that cultural and religious identity will be the primary source of conflict in the post-Cold War world.
The survey shows that 43% of Germans say they believe such a clash is taking place. According to the authors of the report, this represents a majority because only 34% of Germans explicitly disagree with the theory.
In addition, only 36% of Germans believe that Christianity and Islam can live together peacefully side-by-side. Moreover, 53% think that there will always be serious conflicts between these two religions.
As for relations between Muslims and non-Muslims in Germany, respondents are highly pessimistic. In response to the question, "Do you think tensions in relations with Muslims will grow in Germany in the near future and should we be worried about it," nearly half of all Germans (48%) answered "yes" to the question; only 29% of Germans say they see no threat.
The majority of Germans are also firmly opposed to appeasing Muslims and Islam. Only 27% of Germans say there should be a ban on speech that could insult or provoke Muslims. A clear majority of Germans (52%) are explicitly opposed to such restrictions on free speech.
By contrast, 39% of Germans say they believe there should be a ban on the construction of minarets, similar to the ban in Switzerland.
Nearly half of Germans (47%) agree with the statement, "Although it is a personal choice, I do not like to see a woman wearing a scarf on her head."
The survey shows that Germans are overwhelmingly opposed to recent attempts by politicians to describe Islam as an integral part of German culture.
Only 22% of Germans say they agree with the statement, "Islam and Christianity are equally German," while two-thirds (64%) say they completely disagree.
Even when this question is reformulated (as German President Joachim Gauck has recently done) to read, "The Muslims who live here are part of Germany," only 29% of Germans say they agree. A relative majority, 47% of Germans, explicitly reject the idea that Muslims are part of Germany.
Although German elites have worked hard to portray all critics of Islam as belonging to the "far right," this survey and many others provide ample empirical evidence that voters from across the political spectrum are concerned about the spread of Islam in Germany.
An opinion survey, for example, called "Perception and Acceptance of Religious Diversity," conducted by the University of Münster in partnership with the TNS Emnid political polling firm, shows that only 34% of the West Germans and 26% of the East Germans have a positive view of Muslims. Fewer than 5% of the Germans think Islam is a tolerant religion, and only 30% say they approve of the building of mosques. The number of Germans who approve of the building of minarets or the introduction of Muslim holidays is even lower.
Fewer than 10% of the West Germans and 5% of the East Germans say that Islam is a peaceful religion. More than 40% of Germans believe that the practice of Islam should be restricted.
Only 20% of Germans believe that Islam is suitable for the Western world. Significantly, more than 80% of Germans agree with the statement, "Muslims must adapt to our culture." (More than one million immigrants living permanently in Germany cannot speak German.)
Another survey, "Global Views on Immigration," conducted by the London-based Ipsos global research firm, found that more than half the Germans believe "there are too many immigrants" in their country.
In response to the polling question, "Would you say that immigration has generally had a positive or negative impact," 54% of Germans said the impact has been negative. Nearly 60% of Germans agree with the survey statement "Immigration has placed too much pressure on public services."
Another report, "Muslim-Western Tensions Persist," published by the Washington, DC-based Pew Research Center, shows that 61% of Germans believe their relations with Muslims are bad. The poll also says that 72% of Germans believe Muslims in their countries do not want to integrate; and that 79% of Germans believe Islam is "the most violent" religion. More than two-thirds of Germans are worried about Islamic extremists in their country.
A separate poll conducted by the Pew Global Attitudes Project states that 71% of Germans believe Islamic veils should be banned in public, including in schools, hospitals and government offices.
Another survey, published by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, a think-tank linked to the center-left Social Democratic Party (SPD), found that 55% of Germans believe that Arabs are "unpleasant," and over 33% believe the country is being "overrun" by immigrants. The study also noted that "far-right attitudes" are not isolated at the extremes of German society, but to a large degree are "at the center of it."
Although these surveys clearly and consistently show that most Germans are worried about the impact that unrestricted Muslim immigration is having on their daily lives, German politicians continue to promote the rise of Islam in Germany.
Hamburg, for instance, the second-largest city in Germany, concluded on November 13 a "historic treaty" with its Muslim communities that grants Muslims broad new rights and privileges but does little to encourage their integration into German society.
The agreement, signed by Hamburg's Socialist Mayor Olaf Scholz and the leaders of four Muslim umbrella groups, has been praised by the proponents of multiculturalism for putting the northern port city's estimated 200,000 Muslims on an equal footing with Christian residents.
On November 30, the northern German city of Bremen followed Hamburg's lead by concluding its own treaty [Staatsvertrag] with the local Muslim community. The Socialist mayor of Bremen, Jens Böhrnsen, said the treaty reflects "mutual recognition and respect of mutual values."
Critics, however, say the agreements, the first of their kind in Germany, will boost the growing influence of Islam in the country by encouraging the perpetuation of a Muslim parallel society.
These fears have been substantiated by a recent report which found that nearly half of all Turks living in Germany say they hope there will be more Muslims than Christians in Germany in the future. (Germany has Western Europe's second-biggest Muslim population after France, with Turks comprising the single biggest minority.)
The 103-page study, "German-Turkish Life and Values" (abridged version in German here), was jointly produced by the Berlin-based INFO polling institute and the Antalya, Turkey-based Liljeberg research firm, and was released to the general public in August 2012.
The study found that Islam is becoming an increasingly important component of the value structure of Turks in Germany, especially among the younger generation of Turkish-Germans, who hold religious views that are more radical than those held by their parents.
Almost all Turks surveyed (95%) said it is absolutely necessary for them to preserve their Turkish identity, and 62% said they would rather be around Turks than around Germans. Only 39% of Turks said that Germans are trustworthy.
At the same time, 87% of those surveyed said they believe that German society should make a greater effort to be considerate of the customs and traditions of Turkish immigrants.
Of those Turks surveyed, 72% believe that Islam is the only true religion; 18% say Jews are inferior people and 10% say Christians are inferior. Most Turks (55%) believe that Germany should build more mosques.
Arguably the most sobering finding of the study is that 46% of Turks say they hope that Germany will one day have more Muslims than Christians.
Ponder the similarities between Islam and Nazism; between Mein Kampf and the Qur'an. Only the Qur'an outsells Mein Kampf (My Jihad) in Islamic countries. What are the consequences of tolerating Muhammad's religious scheme?
Huh, that reminds me - Saddam Hussein and his ilk were all in awe of Hitler.
Well, well. That would sort of explain why Obama and his entire demonRat pack are actively working overtime to squeeze Hitler and Stalin into a nice three piece suit.
I'm just sayin'.
Put another way, most recent products of American & European education have been conditioned to accept what is not demonstrable; rather easily refuted. This also extends to many of the higher ups in Corporate management, whose focus has been narrowed by a complex of factors, not to appreciate the actual dangers--for themselves & their business interests in the very globalism they have avidly embraced.
(Do not take this in the wrong way. I like Washington & Jefferson, strongly support having good trade relations with all nations. But that does not now--and never has meant--ignoring the social, cultural & ethnic needs of your own communities. That distinction is absolutely vital to an understanding of human dynamics.)

There has only been one option all along but there’s the need to explore all others before implementing the obvious one.
Dog meet vomit.
“44% of those surveyed answered “yes” to the question, “Do you think there will be serious conflict between the Western Christian culture and the Arab Muslim culture in the future?” In addition, one quarter of respondents say they believe that such conflict already exists at the current time.”
Considering that the majority (IIRC) of Muslims in Germany are Turks - why do they specify “Arab Muslim” in the question? Turks are not Arabs. Persians are ALSO not Arabs.
???
Pretty much somes up some pretty clear headed thinking!
A rich “multicultural” society that enthusiastically includes Islam will be a poor and Islamic society in only a few generations.
While it is factual that neither Turks, nor Persians are Arabs genetically, what is equally true is the fact that they are mired in what is nothing more than an Arab supremacy scheme started centuries ago. Islam, at its core is Arab supremacist, and any non-Arab adherent to it is actually working for the eventual subjugation of his/her own people by Arabs...

I just wonder at that formulation and why they felt the need to specify “Arab Muslim” in the question instead of just “Muslim”.
I agree.
While that is a true statement, an equally true, and perhaps more telling question would be, "Under whose precepts were the Islamic world being run by those Turks? Turkish precepts, or Arab?"
The fact of the matter is, that the entirety of of 'Islamic' society is run under Arab precepts, the origin of the people who are operating under those precepts notwithstanding. Sharia is the written codification of Bedouin Arab societal norms, and has been, even as it is now, being forced upon other peoples as 'the perfect society' under the banner of 'the religion of Islam'.
Islam is *not* a religion per se, although it has a religious component. It is a total package of religion, law, and societal regulations. The 'law' and 'societal regulations' stem directly from Bedouin unwritten codes of antiquity...
This is why the repugnant treatment of fully half of humanity (and the percentage goes *up* from this half) is part and parcel of Islam. Bedouin norms in the treatment of their female population have become codified as an essential part of the total Islamic package through Sharia...

When the people reject multiculturalism, this is the reaction from their “representative” gov’s:

Punishing Those Nasty Swedish Racists
Sweden, youve been bad. So we will punish you by bringing in more immigrants!
This, in effect, is the message propagated by Fredrik Reinfeldt, the sitting Prime Minister of Sweden. Too many people voted for the Sweden Democrats, he says, so we are increasing immigration to teach all those racists a lesson!
Its hard to believe, but thats what the man said. You cant make this stuff up.
And it wasnt a leaked conversation from a meeting behind closed doors, or a remark made when a microphone was accidentally left on. Mr. Reinfeldt made his statements in public, to students at the University of Stockholm.
And his party is Moderaterna, The Moderates what passes for a conservative party in Sweden.
By the way: If immigration is such a good thing, and enriches our culture so much, how can it be used as a punishment?
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
The following article was published in Fria Tider on November 6. Many thanks to our Swedish correspondent LN for the translation:
Reinfeldt admits: Migration settlement was a punishment of the voters
In an unusually hard attack on the Sweden Democrats today the Prime Minister revealed, among other things, that the migration agreement with the Green Party from last year aimed to show SD voters that there will be even greater immigration with SD in parliament.
This morning, Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt was a guest-lecturer for students of political science at Stockholm University. (See also Fria Tiders leader about the lecture). According to the program, he would focus on the role of politics and how Sweden is affected by the membership in the European Union, but a large part of the lecture ended up being about the governments perception of the rapidly growing opposition party: the Sweden Democrats.
Hard to reach SD voters
Among other things, the leader of the Moderates complained that he found it difficult to reach Sweden Democrat voters because they utilize in media channels other than those in which the governments messages are allowed to stand unchallenged.
If you believe their description of reality, you sees a very different Sweden. If you listen to it and nothing else, you get a completely different picture of reality, and this makes it incredibly difficult for me to reach them.
The possibility that they may reached through an open debate on the substantive questions was dismissed, however, by Fredrik Reinfeldt, simply because there are too many social problems linked to immigration.
We do not believe that we can resolve the phenomenon of the Sweden Democrats in an open debate. We must fundamentally understand that there are social problems related to integration and immigration, crime, globalization and the restructuring of Sweden that we have to solve. We must give people hope that these problems can be solved. Thats what we are trying to do.
The Migration settlement was meant to be a punishment of SD voters. The Prime Minister also provided an interesting revelation in his speech to the students. The agreement with the Green Party, which includes free medical and dental care to persons residing illegally in Sweden, was, according to the Conservative leader, a punishment of SD voters so that they would understand that refugee policy will become even more liberal if you go on voting for the Sweden Democrats.
The message to the voters is that it will not be possible to change immigration policy in a democratic way, because any vote, no matter which party you apply it to, becomes a vote for increased immigration.
We will isolate them from any influence, he said, among other things, claiming that it was exactly that he had done when shortly after the election the government concluded an agreement with the Green Party on asylum and migration policy.
The effect of SDs entrance into parliament was that we implemented a policy in the opposite direction, said the Prime Minister contentedly.
These are the words of a man who is comfortable in his position, who has the sense that he is secure inside the redoubt of State power.
Sometimes the Socialists are in control. Sometimes the Moderates are in control. But nothing essential changes; thats why the Prime Minister can afford to be so smug.
But is he right? Will Sweden always be this way? Or does the growing popularity of Sverigedemokraterna represent a trend that lies outside Mr. Reinfeldts control?
Well find out before long.

Such short sightedness. All I took from that entire article was “The message to voters is that it will not be possible to change immigration policy in a democratic way”. To me those words were sticking out in bright red isolated from the rest of the article. Let’s see when you remove a persons democratic rights and voice what will the end result will be? What a schoolboy error. When you leave desperate people with no voice and no means for democratic change, you are looking at a potentially very dark future. And as we saw from Norway, it only takes one. What lunacy. Regardless of viewpoint everyone has the right to express it.

I’m not so sure about those explanations for mass, unchecked immigration.
Take a look here as to why ( replace Canada w/ most Western countries):
Slaughtering sheep: The planned destruction of Canadas sovereignty by mass immigration
Who is an immigrant? According to Websters New World Thesaurus: it is a newcomer, a naturalized citizen and adoptive citizen.
Salim Mansur is a professor of political science at the University of Western Ontario. He is also a highly respected journalist for the Sun chain of Newspapers. In 2011, he published the sensational smash hit Delectable Lie: a liberal repudiation of multiculturalism. In the book, this term is more accurately and cleverly defined.
In the normal or traditional sense an immigrant is an individual departing his native country to settle permanently in an intended host country, and adopt the customs and values of the host country while giving it his full loyalty.
There are three myths that continue to confuse and deceive Canadians concerning identity, immigrants and immigration. The first is that Canadas identity is based on immigration and multiculturalism. The second is that massive immigration compensates for anemic birthrates in order to pay for the pensions of Canadian seniors and to fill a supposed labor shortage. The last is that massive amounts of immigration boost Canadas economic success and security. These are myths perpetuated over and over again by lawyers, politicians and religious groups. The cold hard facts of reality will easily refute such chicanery. At the end of the day, Canadians and immigrants deserve an accountable, healthy and responsible immigration system that benefits Canadas own economic self-interests.”
As for the “guilt”...they need to acknowledge, & remember it but they should never surrender to it.
1. I not sure about their immigration policy, but their constitution is extremely rigid & it’s difficult to ratify since its creation after WWII...although they are trying to find ways to outlaw islam.
2. The EU was designed to collapse in order to create debt which the ECB uses to enslave Europeans & it’s on its way.
Don’t pack yet.
Michael Mannheimer:
Each week 7 Germans are killed by immigrants, about 3,000 fall victims to crime with severe injuries.
Since German reunification, about 7,500 were killed by (mostly Muslim) immigrants. And 3 million German were victims of violent attacks by immigrants.
The media have gone to great lengths to obscure the background of the perpetrators: a Mahmut becomes Manfred, Ali becomes Albert, or whatever. Turkish perpetrators are depicted as young people with a Mediterranean appearance, Naturalized migrants are basically all German. Political hacks and media cover up the largest death toll of indigenous Germans since the Second World War by an alien power. Thus, they are guilty in deceiving their own people. Moreover, with its systematic concealment, by whitewashing, trivialisation, with their constant reference to alleged individual cases they have become accomplices of the criminals.

I remember in the movie “Conan the Barbarian” some of the protagonists bemoaned the rise of the snake cult towers. I see Islam the same way. It is a sort of bacillus that will destroy western civilization if it is not halted in its tracks.
Being too PC perhaps?
Thanks. Great site. I can understand some German. Maybe I’ll start posting there also.
Non-Muslims of ALL types from Buddhists to Zoroastrians and everything in between have to unit to step on this snake and kill it - NOW.
So, this is global and planned.
Why do the white Europeans, Americans and Canadians believe they will remain in uncontested power once there is a majority of Muslim immigrants whom they themselves imported to change their own country?
It is a global delusion.
