Syria has accused the United States of seeking to frame the country for using chemical weapons, Syrian state-run media reported.
"The U.S. administration has consistently worked over the past year to launch a campaign of allegations on the possibility that Syria could use chemical weapons during the current crisis," the Foreign Ministry wrote in letters to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.
"What raises concerns about this news circulated by the media is our serious fear that some of the countries backing terrorism and terrorists might provide the armed terrorist groups with chemical weapons and claim that it was the Syrian government that used the weapons," SANA quoted the letters as saying.
U.S. officials have expressed deep concern regarding reports that Syrian military units may be preparing to use chemical weapons, with President Barack Obama calling the use of such weapons against the Syrian people a "red line" that could prompt American military intervention.
Israels so-called red line differs from that of the U.S., as it has said that any evidence of chemical weapons being passed from the regime of Bashar al-Assad to terrorist groups like Hizbullah could warrant military action.

Wait til some of that gas appears in a subway in New York or Washington—wait til many thousands are dead in the USA. The ghost of Saddam H. will be smiling in H*ll.
“I believe them. Anyone who has been paying attention to the press noticed the trickle of Syrian WMD stories over a period of months, that reached a shrill crescendo just last week, and interestingly against a waning backdrop of Benghazi related news. Timing is everything folks. We are watching a modern day Gleiwitz incident being pulled off by the bathhouse barry boys.”
Exactly what I’ve seen coming for a while. Amazing to me that USA regular folks are so darn blind.
“They are learning there is no diplomacy, but Chicago style thuggery, dirty tricks and treachery.”
They may as easily have learned it from Bush with his fabricated weapons of mass destruction used as a pretense to topple Saddam Hussein; I don’t believe anything from either party. After just watching Obama beat Obama-Lite, I’ll never be convinced that this isn’t just theater for the ignorant masses.
I have sons, and it will be a cold day in hell before they ever don a uniform to kill people around the world to maintain the charade. Anyone who thinks some toilet halfway around the world poses more of a threat to them and their loved ones than the Obama administration is delusional.
Idiotic post.
Thank you for your input; it has great value to me. /s
...and you aren’t a fast learner, either.
Wait, lemme guess, you’re a big talker on the internet, though!
So, you’re a “Bush lied, people died” troll? Tell me about 9/11/01: did he LIHOP or MIHOP?
I think they all lie; in comparison to Obama or Clinton Bush was a saint, but he wasn’t perfect. He’ll always hold a special place in my heart because he was probably the last president we’ll ever have to speak out against affirmative action.
9/11 was the second attempt by Muslims taking advantage of our open borders to destroy the World Trade Center; unlike the first time it worked. When mosques were open on 9/12/01, and the borders were still open, I realized that neither party in our government was going to do anything to protect the American people from the same thing happening again. 15 of the 19 hijackers were from our “ally” Saudi Arabia; none were Iraqi.
Sounds pretty reasonable. You are not a troll, sorry. My bad. But I don’t think Bush was lying about WMDs in Iraq, I think he was guilty of wanting the data he saw to mean something, and genuinely believed it.
Gulf of Tonkin....... Obama style
No apology necessary; we’re grown-ups here. Bush may have genuinely believed it originally, but later on at one point he joked about finding them (looking around the podium); Americans died looking for those weapons (which at this point most agree probably didn’t exist), and it was a tasteless joke.
I still prefer Bush to any president since I was old enough to vote (the first time I was old enough I voted for his father in 1992); I voted for W. twice and at this point would vote for him again if I had a chance. Positions he took (opposing affirmative action, No Child Left Behind, the Supreme Court affirming the individual right to bear arms) may never see the national stage again; now we have “gay marriage” and legalization of pot. My how far we’ve fallen...
those weapons (which at this point most agree probably didnt exist
We are going to find out if they existed once Islam takes
over Syria as we will be on the receiving end of them.
Obama has done much to facilitate the creation of the
Islamic State and has accellorated their timetable of
hegemony by many years. Can he be so ignorant of their
real plan? Or is he behind it?
If muslims can infiltrate our border with ease how long
before they bring in thermos bottles of toxic
and biologic agents? They wouldn’t have to be big,
just a lot of them.
Sadly we are going to find out someday. Soon.
And where did Syria get the wmd’s? Yep, Iraq.
You can surmise as much as you like; the fact is that we took out the Middle East governments that had the MOST to lose to Islamic extremists (Saddam in Iraq, Mubarak in Egypt, Qaddafi in Libya). These guys were so “modern” that they were the enemies of extreme Islam (like Saudis). American troops dying for Kuwait and Saudi Arabia were told to keep cross necklaces within their shirts/blouses because they might offend the Muslims THEY WERE DYING TO DEFEND.
What a bunch of BS; as long as we don’t defend our borders (and neither party will), the same people that did 9/11/01 will do 9/11/12. We trained the 9/11 hijackers to fly planes here in the US (even if they overstayed their visas); don’t ever forget that. If you are an American patriot, your country hates you and views you as an enemy.
