REDFORD, Mich. (AP) President Barack Obama says right-to-work legislation in Michigan is more about politics than economics. He is criticizing a measure that would prevent requiring non-union employees to financially support unions at their workplace.
Obama received loud applause at a Michigan engine plant when he said we shouldn't be "taking away your rights to bargain for better wages and working conditions."
The president says that the right-to-work bills are more about "giving you the right to work for less money."

He should shut his purple-lipped trap.
And I like Dennisw’s idea of a meteor...
Sounds like the Lansing center is publicly operated.
>>Lansing Center is located in the heart of Michigan’s capital with a fantastic view of the capitol building. Managed by Lansing Entertainment & Public Facilities Authority since 1996<<
Here comes Mighty Mouse to insert himself into a state matter. What an arrogant a**hole.
That's about the only hope for this country at this point.

Michigan Republican Party chairman Bobby Schostak issued the following statement in response to President Obamas visit to Michigan today:
Its interesting that President Obama has chosen to stop in Michigan to propose his economic recovery plan of higher taxes, more spending and broken budgets. Here in Michigan weve seen actual economic recovery by streamlining government, cutting taxes and balancing budgets.
The Presidents divisive message and attack on Michigan workers is just another indication of how out of touch Pres. Obama has become. President Obamas continued attempt to subvert state rights is an assult on our federal system.
I encourage the former law professor and our current President brush up on the Tenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, The powers not delegated to the United states by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
The Presidents stance is a blatant attack on Michigan workers and demonstrates the Presidents staunch support of special interest union bosses. Thankfully, Michigan Republican leaders are here to provide a firewall for Michigan workers and their families and to keep Michigans turnaround on course.
“I’m getting sick of that cocky sh*t eating grin on Obamas face since the election, it’s time he took one to the chin”
According to some(Larry Sinclair) OBAMA has taken more than one off the chin already.
Thank God the kiddos get the day off from propaganda to raise their IQ. I guess the savior didn’t bother to tell the working class union bots that the Federal Government banned collective bargaining for federal workers 40 years ago.
Right on!
States Rights. I believe there was a incident that lasted from 1861 - 1865, it was called the War Between the States (Southern View) and a Civil War (northern View)was about the states having rights that the federal government had no business enforcing.
Yet in the Good Ole USA , there is an idiot that is nothing more than the present resident of 1600 Pennsylvania whom believes whatever he is spoken by him is to be the law of the land. Odumbo is not a president but a totalarian dictator whom believes he is the King of the World. A nutcase. Everytime there is something happening in the USA regarding the union Odumbo tries to speak out that the Unions have the rights.
Taxpayers have rights to - shut down the public unions. Shove the state employees out the door.
These teachers should be fired. So all these government workers who are in unions, will take paid time off (sick or vacation days?) at the expense of the taxpayers, to meet up at a taxpayer-owned building, to protest that the taxpayers are not getting screwed enough by the unions, and more is needed. Do I have this right?
The Tenth Amendment lives.
Article: Obama received loud applause at a Michigan engine plant when he said we shouldn’t be “taking away your rights to bargain for better wages and working conditions.”
Can that man open his mouth without lying? Ever?
Workers still have a “right” to unionize, to bargain, and all the rest of it. What they do NOT have is the right to FORCE, under duress, people who DO NOT want to be in a union to be in one.
Screw you (all) unions.
Peet (who was forced to be in a union to continue his employment)
That’s a very powerful graphic. I love it! Would make a great t-shirt or bumper sticker logo, or even a banner.
Levin’s got some nerve to “warn” Republicans about anything.
Democrats are only for personal choice if you want to abort your kid or smoke pot.
Seems to me that they’re using the same language to threaten us that Obama used to threaten Syria.
Wasn’t he an adjunct professor in constitutional law? How is he so clueless about state rights?
I’d say he’s clueless, but I think the fact of the matter if that he hates the constitution.
Ask a liberal about not supporting a Worker’s Right To Choose?
