Me too. If old people ON THIS SITE insist that they get THEIR WELFARE (i.e., Social Security and Medicare), then YES, its time to start paying the bills.I think your post helps explain why the tea party movement was not as prominent in this year's election. Many, many seniors took to the streets to vocally oppose Obamacare, but they fully support Social Security and Medicare.
And, each day, their numbers grow.

How about the money people have paid into social security, have the government refund every penny back to the investors, see how that would work..

Why the hell shouldn't they support SS and Medicare? They've been paying into both all their lives.
I got my first (official) paying job at 16 and worked until I was 62. That's over 45 feckin' years ... including three years USMC and VN.
Problem is this country gives a $hit more about foreigners - both here and abroad - then it does its own damned citizens.

...and most of them do this because they don’t want “to be a burden” to their children. That’s all good and fine, but when they don’t have the money in the bank, they become a burden to MY CHILDREN, instead - and I don’t like that.
