Many, many seniors took to the streets to vocally oppose Obamacare, but they fully support Social Security and Medicare.
Why the hell shouldn't they support SS and Medicare? They've been paying into both all their lives.
I got my first (official) paying job at 16 and worked until I was 62. That's over 45 feckin' years ... including three years USMC and VN.
Problem is this country gives a $hit more about foreigners - both here and abroad - then it does its own damned citizens.

I guess old people should just die now that they can’t pay 17% of their income to the SS ponzi scheme anymore.

I started mowing lawns at 10 years old, for 50 cents a pop. My first `real job’ was cleaning grocery carts and breaking down boxes at a supermarket, at age 15.
If they want to refund me the value of everything I paid into those programs, with over forty years of interest, sure.
Otherwise, ditto what you said, cannoncocker—those who say we old farts should just `write it all off’ so their children can have that money (that isn’t there anyway), well, they can go s*** in their hats.
