COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A Colorado Springs apartment manager threatens to raise the rent of anyone who voted to re-elect President Barack Obama.
John Obringer sent out a letter to his tenants at the Casa Adobe Apartments on Wednesday. The letter was addressing cutbacks on staff and maintenance issues.
"Due to the stupidity of the U.S. electorate, the Obama-administration's continued assault on small business is resulting in increased taxes, regulations and mandates that are forcing the management company (B&J Enterprises, Inc.) for Casa Adobe Apartments to modify its operation to survive. This has resulted in layoffs, work-time reductions and decreased pay for workers. Consequently, the business hours are now Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Please plan accordingly ... We are working hard to maintain the field, cleaning and maintenance personnel in place without raising rents, but that too is inevitable due to the upcoming inflation and market forces," writes Obringer.
"If you have any questions, comments or criticisms, please call me. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and Happy Holidays to you and yours," continues Obringer.
Then he added, "BTW: If you voted "Democrat" on Nov. 6, please notify me ASAP so I can raise your rent first to help pay for what you asked for."
"I think it's wrong. That's your constitutional right to vote for who you want," said a tenant who wished to hide her identity.
She went on to tell KRDO News Channel 13 that Obringer had already threatened to kick her out for voting for President Obama...

Ehhh.
He should have raised the rent three months before the election with a notice that he was preparing for higher taxes and costs due to increased government regulations. He should have also added that if Obama lost, he would lower rates due to the regulations not coming to fruition.
Your tears taste like nectar of the gods to me! lol
This may help you make better decisions on the people and businesses you deal with.
Go to one of the campaign finance sites ( I use Opensecrets dot org) and run your nearby zipcodes for donors. I have used that system many times over the years to make decisions on who I deal with and how I deal with the folks and businesses on my list.
My friends don't go there anymore either.
Screw'em!
Good idea.
Redistribution can be a two way street!
I’ve already fired my daughters piano teacher and my haircutter because they voted Obama. I made it clear to both of them why they were fired. Also our favorite pizza place no longer gets our business and I told him too. I will not knowingly give money to anyone who voted O.
Thank you.
Another thing I have been known to do is run a sex crime search for friends or loved ones who are considering moving into a new home or apartment just to give them a heads up.
Most states have a searchable database for such things.
My standard line is that I am short of funds due to the Obama boom in the economy.
National rent freeze in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...
Only rich people own buildings for rental!
Yeah, some of the fast-food places near me have the panhandlers waiting right by the pick-up window; as I pass them I say “Ask Obama”. I’m not a musclehead, but I’m big enough and young enough to say that to them; they really seem to get aggressive with women.
At one point one in Newark had a panhandler waiting by the cash register (inside!); whatever they pay these “replacement Americans” to tolerate our permanent underclass can’t be enough.
The long list of groups protected against discrimination does not include political discrimination. In ‘08, two employees of an ice cream shop somewhere in the northeast were fired for supporting McCain instead of Obama by the liberal owner of the shop. The judge ruled that there is no protection from such an action.
So, you business owners keep that in mind when laying off workers because of CommieCare. His voters should get the axe first.
Our favorite pizzeria lost our business because we simply don’t have the extra money to order pizza any more; I have a car mechanic and dentist that have a list of things they’d love to do for me, but I have made it clear that the money simply isn’t there (and I won’t use plastic, which I’m paying down). Sadly, all three probably voted for Romney, though I suspect that many of their workers didn’t (not just as low-wage earners, but many of them are ethnic as well - so the stats would indicate that they weren’t hot for Romney). Three business owners are easily outvoted by twenty employees.
I am wondering what the difference is between this happening and our dear leader denying federal aid to Red States stricken with natural disasters aka Texas.
I’m guessing none.
No it isn't!
And if I was King for a day, you'd have to own real estate, income producing investments, or have a paycheck from the private sector to be able to vote.
Why? Isn't she proud of her vote??? Stand TALL lady! Be PROUD!
I clicked on the members running for reelection and looks likes the pubes have the majority.
Too bad we don’t make a lick of difference......except Gene Cook. Met him through the Conservative peeps here in town when I volunteered at the Hofstra Debate 08.
Where do I go on the site to find out who donates to what? It’s a little confusing.
