Why Obama and the Euro-Socialists Want Abortion and Somodite "Marriage"

Christian folks in the West are in the process of becoming a minority.
With the contraceptive pill, the profanation of marriage, and easy abortion, we don't reach anymore the threshold required for the reproduction of our civilization.
Our Christian nation is self-aborting.
It's a phenomenon akin to a civilizational suicide.

What's the modern-day equivalent of the sword?
Oh yes, that's right:
Are we going to witness soon the Last Crusade?

Fair point.
How should we call our civilization then, if not a Christian one? “Modern” civilization?

So much gets lost in a photo-op like that.
“I kiss it for the sake of whatever good morals it has” isn’t what is going to get remembered here, and it also has some profoundly bad morals in it.

I say luggbutts. Every new iteration from that side of the fence seems to add more and more letters until it appears a veritable alphabet soup, but I stopped with LGBT.

Christian folks in the West are in the process of becoming a minority.Already happened.
In USA Christians, depending on your definition of the term, are still arguably a majority.
In Europe and the rest of the West Christians are a small and shrinking minority, with possible exception of a few countries like Poland.
The West is now a post-Christian civilization. We have not yet seen how well that will work out in the long run.
I'm not optimistic.
To: Sherman Logan
From its original sources, it’s clear that Christianity never made a claim of being able to win the majority of the world. If, in fact, it did, that would make certain biblical statements look foolish. We can’t say on any basis that we deserve to live the mortal segment of our lives in a Christianized world. But when God makes a promise, God keeps it, and we are not foolish to believe in that.

I don’t have an answer. I don’t know if we need a new definition. I do disagree with some who claim we are a post-Christian nation. That, for me, is leftist propaganda. Their logic is flawed. It would be like claiming that Asia is communist because the largest populated Asian nation, China, is run by communists, while completely ignoring India.
I don’t think we need to change the Christian label yet. I point out that Christians in the south are producing enough children to more than replace Christians who are dying. People disagree with me on that.
We are divided. And two groups, one that believes in statism and slavery, and another that believes in God, individual freedom and liberty, cannot and will not live together.
Maybe Christians need to send missionaries into the heathen territory.

No - Pope Paul described the potential for catastrophe in its first cause: breakdown of morality. Islamic takeover is an effect.
A few lines from the Durants on the fall of Rome:
A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself within.
What had caused this fall in population? Above all, family limitation. Practiced first by the educated classes, it had not seeped down to a proletariat named for its fertility; by a.d. 100 it had reached the agricultural classes.
Though branded as a crime, infanticide flourished as poverty grew. Sexual excesses may have reduced human fertility; the avoidance or deferment of marriage had a like effect, and the making of eunuchs increased as Oriental customs flowed in to the West.
The rapidly breeding Germans could not understand the classic culture, did not accept it, did not transmit it; the rapidly breeding Orientals were mostly of a mind to destroy that culture; the Romans, possessing it, sacrificed it to the comforts of sterility. Rome was conquered not by barbarian invasion from without, but by barbarian multiplication within.
Moral decay contributed to the dissolution.
Men had now, in the middle and upper classes, the means to yield to temptation, and only expediency to restrain them. Urban congestion multiplied contacts and frustrated surveillance; immigration brought together a hundred cultures whose differences rubbed themselves out into indifference. Moral and esthetic standards were lowered by the magnetism of the mass; and sex ran riot in freedom while political liberty decayed.
