"Tax the Rich: An Animated Fairy Tale" by the California Federation of Teachers: An animated fairy tale, is narrated by Ed Asner, with animation by Mike Konopacki. Written and directed by Fred Glass for the California Federation of Teachers. An 8 minute video about how we arrived at this moment of poorly funded public services and widening economic inequality. Things go downhill in a happy and prosperous land after the rich decide they don't want to pay taxes anymore. They tell the people that there is no alternative, but the people aren't so sure. This land bears a startling resemblance to our land. For more info, www.cft.org.

IMHO, anyone who sends their children to a public school these days is committing child abuse.
Nicely done, fat commie from the Mary Tyler Moore show. Your brown shirt is in the mail.
I loaaaaath the teachers union.
Absolutely. Joseph would be so proud.
“Your brown shirt is in the mail.”
Ed’s already got one of those, now if we could find him some totenkopf cufflinks for Christmas.......
That’s OK...I take a dump on the union office steps whenever I can.
Teachers unions are evil.
Public school teachers are enablers of evil.

Someone should make a video of Ed Asner peeing on the Constitution.
.... By that .... I mean it is simple, clever, hard hitting and well narrated in an easy to understand way. Yes.... even simple enough that a child can understand it's ponderings. It also gets the point across quite vividly to all. It also serves to sear into the mind of the viewers the ideas and philosophy being put forth. I suspect that it will be quite successful in it's objective.
.... I do have a simple question to the detractors of this video ...... Where are the hard hitting and easily understood videos that teach and portray conservative principles and philosophies in a similar hard hitting way? ........ Perhaps we should take note of how the successful tactics of the left are deployed and implemented. Evidently what we have been doing up until Nov 6th of this year were woefully inadequate and failed miserably.
.... So instead of making fun of and complaining of the lefts ploys ..... Start working together as a team instead of proving to be a miserable dysfunctional family of misfits .... take some notes .... Never let a Crisis go to waste.
Government schools are no places for children. They exist for indoctrination. I love it when people tell me that they have moved to a certain area because the schools are good. That just means that the government schools in that area have nice facilities and less violence. The real, lasting damage goes on in the classrooms.
I agree. I’m lucky. I’ve got 7 grandchildren. Four are being home schooled and 3 are attending religious schools.
This is straight out of 30’s and 40’s Soviet style cartoons. I wonder if they’ve ever even heard of that stuff. All the fat cats ruining everyone until the communists come and save the world.
Communists are good for one thing only, and that thing is slow release fertilizer.
Our governor Christie shut this nonsense down by pointing out how wealthy teachers were; he was aided by the Asbury Park Press, which listed the salaries of every public school teacher in NJ.
You would be amazed at how much money somebody without a particular set of job skills can “earn” in 180 days...
Like Dennis Miller was saying tonight on O’Reilly: “They always say rich. How about saying successful for once?” So daamn true.
Someone should redo the audio and take the word “Rich” out and put the word “Jew” in.
Then redo it again and put the word “Blacks” in.
Then Mexican.
Then Japanese
And on and on and on.
I was talking to one guy involved in education the other day who says eventually this kind of public education will be phased out for the simple fact that it will become unnecessary, and he used Khanacademy.org as an example. Kids will learn at home and learn more through technology. I told him that will only happen if the people stop voting for the statists which after our last election seems to be far from ever happening, and he laughed it off.
